Description
Spots or dots repeating down the page every 2.5 inches (63 mm) in a column or columns.
Most likely causes
- Debris on top or bottom of the transfer unit , especially paper dust, adhesive, or fragments from labels.
Troubleshooting and suggestions
- If the issue shown above occurs, remove the transfer unit from the printer. Show me how.
- Check the transfer unit.
CAUTION: Do not touch the shiny black surface of the belt on the top of the transfer unit, or place anything on it. This may damage the transfer unit and cause print quality problems.
After removing the transfer unit, check it for debris. Debris may lodge inside the transfer unit, or on top of or under the transfer belt. If there is a label or adhesive present on the transfer unit, gently try to remove it. Reinsert the transfer unit into the printer. - If the issue is not resolved, the transfer unit may be damaged. Replace it with a new unit. Show me how.
