1. Open the scanner lid. |

2. Locate the ADF glass window as shown in Figure 2, then clean the ADF glass window by wiping it gently with a clean, damp, lint-free cloth. If this does not remove the contamination, you may try to spray or pour an ammonia-based surface cleaner onto the cleaning cloth. NOTE: It may be helpful to align your copy of the gray test page containing the dark or light streak(s), with the ADF glass window. This can help you to find the location of the contamination. CAUTION: Do not pour water or cleaner directly onto the ADF glass window. Doing so might damage the device. Be careful not to damage the ADF glass window by applying excessive force. |
