How to Clean the Flatbed Glass

Note: It may be helpful to print out these instructions before you start to clean the flatbed glass.

1. Open the scanner lid.

2. Locate the flatbed glass, then clean the flatbed glass by wiping it gently with a clean, slightly damp, lint-free cloth. If this does not remove the contamination, you may try to spray or pour an ammonia-based surface cleaner onto the cleaning cloth. Use an ammonia-based surface cleaner only when a water-dampened cloth does not clean the flatbed glass.

CAUTION: Do not pour water or cleaner directly onto the flatbed glass. Doing so might damage the device. Be careful not to damage the flatbed glass by applying excessive force on the glass surface. (The glass could break.)

CAUTION: Do not pour or spray liquids directly onto the flatbed glass. Do not press hard on the glass surface. (You could break the glass).
