Hewlett-Packard Company Foundation, HP and Employees Commit More Than $1 Million to Relief Efforts in China PALO ALTO, Calif., May 15, 2008The Hewlett-Packard Company Foundation today announced that it has committed $500,000 to the American Red Cross International Relief Fund in partnership with the Red Cross Society of China for aid in the aftermath of the earthquake that devastated the country’s Sichuan Province . Numerous HP employees have already provided financial aid, and HP supports and encourages continued giving. HP employees in In addition, HP will donate approximately $300,000 fair market value worth of IT equipment to help rebuild local schools in the affected communities. HP has established an “earthquake emergency relief team” in China that will work to identify and support affected customers and mobilize volunteer teams to help recovery efforts.
