EDS, an HP Company, Inducts Five New Fellows to Push the Limits of Thought Leadership

PLANO, Texas, Oct. 3, 2008

EDS, an HP company, today announced that five employees will be named EDS Fellows in recognition of their exceptional achievements in technical innovation and solution development.

The title of EDS Fellow is awarded to the company’s most innovative thought leaders with a proven track record of creating world-class solutions for clients. In addition to their academic achievements and invention history, the 29 EDS Fellows average 25 years of industry experience and innovative technology implementations.

The Fellows program recognizes the achievements of top employees who have practical, technical expertise and have demonstrated the ability to convert their outstanding knowledge into business solutions for EDS and its clients. Fellows are frequently called on to help clients and their account teams implement innovative solutions to challenges, and they are known for encouraging creativity and innovation, enhancing EDS’ external image and promoting company-wide networking for innovation and thought leadership.

Although the Fellows have diverse backgrounds and fill a multitude of roles within EDS, most focus approximately 80 percent of their time on helping drive thought leadership around technology and innovation for EDS’ clients.

The new Fellows are:

  • Jamie Erbes, chief technology officer,  Enterprise Service Management Portfolio, based in Plano, Texas
  • Michael Gindy, chief technologist, Asia Pacific, based in Sydney, Australia
  • Kasi S. Sai Kumar, chief technology officer, MphasiS Corporation, based in New York City
  • Steve McNicholas, delivery transformation lead, Royal Dutch Shell Account, based in Telford, United Kingdom
  • J. Darrel Thomas, Infrastructure Service Delivery Operations, and a Distinguished Engineer, based in Plano, Texas
More information about the Fellows is available at EDS’ Next Big Thing Blog, written by EDS Fellows about the future of technology.
