HP Fax 1010 and 1010xi safety recall

Program summary

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Hewlett-Packard Company is recalling the HP Fax 1010 and 1010xi. HP customers who have the HP Fax 1010 and 1010xi are asked to contact HP for product disposition and resolution. The affected products were distributed in the US, Canada and Mexico.

Problem

The product failure involves the power supplies used in these products. Specifically, under certain conditions mechanical stress on the power cord and power supply appliance inlet may result in an overheating event.
