It is a better choice HP developed for a range of Notebooks and Laptops that also suited my 15" Notebook with SSD. I am really happy with it. The unit also comes with a larger DC adaptor lead for older model Notebooks/Laptops. The extra power rating it has should make it last longer than the unit supplied with the Notebook.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of time and money HP Hardware Diagnostics via Windows 11 or via Diagnostics UEFI told me that my 65W AC adapter was faulty, so I replaced with the exact model recommended for my laptop. Now the diagnostics tell me that the power supply is inadequate for my laptop and I am unable to test the new AC adapter. Yes, I am patched up to current levels, including bios. Waste of time and money.
