After 4 days of using it just not working i tried to reset it and then the window its not even working. I ordered it to do some assignments. It takes most tasks in its stride, will also do some very light gaming and has an SD port if you want to expand the storage. I consider it a good value.

The ENVY is thinner and faster with a better screen and lots of new features. The support to help set it up from HP was excellent. The only thing that could be better is if it had GSM capability.

Not to mention my brother has the same laptop and this exact same thing has happened to him. This is appaling and means i have to put my schooling on hold so i can get a new laptop. I am not the only person this has happened to clearly, this laptop is poorly built. I hope to hear from HP soon considering this.

Hardware and software run smoothly and integrates with the schools network and software seamlessly. A great product for the price. Size and weight also mean that it fits in her schoolbag easily while in a hard laptop case that protects it from damage.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mandalorian_fan from Faulty touch pad and old battery Refurbished means repaired and 'as new'. I have no issues buying refurbished. It's smart money! But this laptop was faulty from the start. The touch pad had a 'deadzone' right in the centre. I updated windows, the driver's, everything I could to get it working (who wants the hassle of returning a product eh?). Nope. Hardware issue not software. So during the process of updating the drivers the HP Assistant (useful feature) informed me that the battery needed calibration. This was a bit of a process but if you follow the instructions it is straightforward. On completion I could see that the 51WHr battery could only charge to 42WHr. It's 100% capacity was actually only 83% of what it should be. I'd expect this of a battery I'd used for a couple of years, not a new battery! Disappointed with HP. However their customer service has been good and I've returned the laptop awaiting a 'New' replacement. Fingers crossed it works fine.

One of my speakers work occasionally. This is my personal laptop that was hardly used, as I have a PC and work laptop - At most, it is used twice in a week. This laptop has never been dropped, and always been treated like a baby due to its fragile build, and yet it still manages to completely disassemble itself, which is amusing. I'm not saying this laptop is absolutely garbage, it has some unique features such as fingerprint reader and camera shutter. However, I would like to warn future customers to PLEASE BUY ADDITIONAL WARRANTY as even the most careful owner that hardly uses this laptop will still manage to somehow break it after 2.5 years.

My screen is starting to pop out since last week, and one of my speakers works occasionally. This is my personal laptop that I hardly use as I have a PC and work laptop. I probably use this laptop twice a week at MOST. This laptop has been treated like a baby due to its fragile hinges, and yet still manages to completely screw up after less than 2.5 years. Honestly, this laptop has been well to me. It's snappy, great for studies with amazing features such as fingerprint recognition and front camera shutter. But the quality of this build is absolutely amusing. I'm not sure what can be done since the 1 year warranty has been expired, but just want to warn and encourage future customers to DEFINITELY get additional warranty.

Good for our travelling which is what i purchased it for. Arrived quickly but was in a box that showed what it is which i thought was a bit strange. Anyone wanting to take it for a walk could easily have done so. It would have been better had it been in a box that didnt have the computer on the outside of the box.

Easy to set-up, affordable, price-wise. Processor is fast. It's perfect for me and I'm very happy with it. The gold color and touchscreen option made me decide to choose this over the competitor's -air product even though this is core i5. Memory storage is just right for me. I use this for both work and Uni.

The previous 2 are still going strong, both have literally been to the ends of the earth, this one was purchased to replace a desktop. Have been impressed with the build quality, reliability, and performance of the i5 processor. For me, this is the ideal package for travel photography due to its light weight, small size and long-life battery. The only minor drawback is just the one Type C port, but overall, am very happy with this latest version.
