I love the simple plug in and play nature of it and have found it compatible with my Windows (home) 11 setup. My main use of the device is for retrieving data from CD's. Also to note was the very speedy delivery of device to North Queensland - thankyou.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Carathee from Laptops should have these built in Nowadays laptops don't have these built in for those of us that still use disks, but this is a great size for a laptop bag or sitting on a desktop, slim, lightweight and plug and play. Love it! A case for it to sit in would be good to protect it from knocks and dust when not in use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SH, Shell Cove from Works really well. I previously purchased another brand with built in hub. It was useless and was returned the same day. I then went back to the trusty HP external drive. It is a little more expensive, but it has worked a charm. It is a shame that new pc's these days don't have them still built in. Not everything is streamed. I have lots of music on cd and still use them and I am sure that I am not the only one. This drive was good as plug n play and has never missed a beat.

Really exciting!! I have managed to get it working with my old laptop. No idea if it is a problem with this unit or the Desktop. I have spoken to several "techs" at HP who don't seem to know how to fix the problem. I will be sending the unit back Monday afternoon

Rated 3 out of 5 by Awesomeness from Could have been a lot easier So this didn't connect straight to my laptop as it was supposed to. I contacted support which was an absolute pain. I was sent in 5 different directions and told I would have to hang up and call again as I had been transferred to the wrong section. I ended up using a different app to access the drive which was fine but is a round-a-bout way of doing it. I have given 3 stars as I did get it to work, however lost stars due to the support desk being completely unhelpful.

It doesn't seem to know it is there. My old HP notebook has since been repaired and the new gear has been filed in the bottom of the broom cupboard.

I did have to find an app to allow me to use the drive, but this only took a few minutes . I was able to find a free app which seems to be working perfectly.

I bought an external PC DVD drive, it arrived, it was in a box and all the contents were as expected. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, however I have received multiple emails requesting this review. If only one of the emails had been an email asking if I had received the product, were the contents intact and was I happy with the product.

Why is there limited region changed? this will render it useless if I have to change more than 5 times. Why isn't multi region an option? After all they are designed to be portable and travel.
