Rated 5 out of 5 by GPPro from HP - You've converted me I'll be completely honest and state from the start that I have never previously owned and/or used a HP Printer prior to the Smart Tank 7005. Despite having several printers at work and home, I somehow fell into the habit of just buying the same brand that I have always previously used. Probably just laziness on my part but I just thought it would be "easier" to stick with what I knew. When the opportunity came up to be a part of this promotion, I jumped at the opportunity so see firsthand the differences between what I was comfortable with and a new brand. All I can say is wow! I had no idea that what I thought was the best and easiest brand to use wasn't actually true. The HP Smart Tank 7005 was simple to set up, works perfectly with my Surface Pro and other handheld devices, and prints, copies and scans perfectly. I was a bit apprehensive about using standalone ink bottles, but it is so much easier than I thought it would be and will work out a heap cheaper in the long run compared to cartridges. I can now proudly state that I am a converted HP user and have already purchased an additional Smart Tank 7005 for one of my staff. He also raves about the product. Keep up the great work and continue developing great products like this HP and you'll keep this now loyal customer very happy!

It prints in very high resolution, and with very nice colours. It was a nice touch for the printer ink refills to come in bottles, making for much cheaper refills. The companion app for this printer is also amazing, with a seamless experience, and is very easy to use. If I had one complaint about this printer, it would be that it prints fairly slowly, but other than that, a wonderful printer!

Initially, I expected it to be slightly larger, given its intended use as a small office printer or a high-volume home printer. However, I was pleasantly surprised by its compact size, which turned out to be quite convenient. I was a bit apprehensive about the initial setup, especially through the HP app, but everything ran smoothly without any issues. Refilling the ink tank was a breeze, with no spillage or ink leakage on my fingers, a relief for anyone who has struggled with cartridge refills before! Printing from my desktop, laptop, and phone has become an effortless task. The printer's feature that allows me to send a file for printing even when I'm away from home eliminates the need to copy files to a USB stick or send them via email. Additionally, the privacy pick-up option ensures that I can control printing tasks before my arrival at my home office. I'm impressed by the printer's speed when it comes to text and black/colour photo prints. The capacity to handle 200-gram cards and 250-gram photo paper is perfect for my needs, as I frequently print leaflets and high-quality photo prints. The vibrant colours are nearly identical to how they appear on the screen, although some adjustments to my screen display were necessary to achieve precise results. HP claims that the included ink will last for two years, but of course, this depends on the printing volume of each user. Though I seldom use the copy function, I decided to put it to the test, and it performed remarkably fast. The 128 MB memory buffer seems to be doing its job well. Scanning documents is a function I frequently utilize, and I'm especially fond of the PDF output option, which is practically the standard for exchanging business documents nowadays. Another standout feature is the ID copy function, which allows users to copy both sides of a document onto a single page, a time-saving convenience that many users will appreciate.

Connects seamlessly with my computer without any mess around. Ink was easy to install and despite multiple colour heavy printing jobs we’re yet to make a dent in it, seems like the ink will last a VERY long time! Print quality is excellent, colours come out really vibrant and clear. Printer does double sided printing really easily as well and love that the paper is stored in a tray at the bottom rather than it poking out the top. As an added bonus, looks great on the desk!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LittleMissOrganised from Nice addition to my home office! I chose to use the HP Smart app on my phone to breeze through the set-up of this device and am so glad I did. The animations made the process quick and easy. I was pleased with the amount of ink provided in each of the 4 bottles but was a little apprehensive about the mess that they might have created when emptying into the device. I'm pleased to report that there was no mess - the bottles and printer are designed so that spillage is not an issue at all. I did manage to get a tiny amount of ink on one finger, but that was my mistake, as a result of touching the printer head, which I won't do in subsequent refills. I've been very impressed with printing via my smartphone (which is my preferred method) and the fact that private pick-up is an option (similar to what commercial printers offer in secure print functionality, or similar), something I've never had in a home office printer. Would've really liked to have seen a little screen added to this device, similar to the lower-end devices, however, given that I use the app to print, I probably wouldn't get a great deal of value out of it. Its responsive and prints quickly and has been a pleasure to use, I would definitely recommend this device at this price-point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Akaiready from Great workhorse printer Note - My first printer was defective on arrival, but HP support sent a replacement without too much hassle and the replacement process was easier than expected. The printer is easy to set up using the app or manual, but don't try to install based on the manual and then use the app or the process will get stuck. Ink bottle design is practical and very easy to refill. Colours are vibrant and detail comes out well. The boardgame manual I printed has a complex background with text on top, the contrast is clear and the text is crisp. The app has a cool craft feature, I used it to make the valentine card and kids colouring picture, it is very fun and easy to use. The printer is not cheap, but it will save you money in the long run with refillable ink and the quality makes it well worth the price. Overall I think this printer would be great for families and hobbyists. One thing to keep in mind is that you will need to print every month to keep the ink from drying out, but with the quality of the printer there should always be something cool to print.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Riushaad from Great Family Printer Unpacking my HP Smart Tank 7005 printer, the first thought was that it was compact and light to move around the home if needed. The initial set up of the printer was very quick and trouble-free with great step-by-step instructions. It was quick and easy to fill the ink compartments and the mess-free tank refilling system was very good. HP says the printer comes with roughly two years’ worth of ink so no need to worry about that for a while, which is great. What I loved was the super easy app setup, it was straightforward to set up the printer to our Wi-Fi network using the App. Using the App to connect all the household devices, (computer, mobiles, and tablets) was seamless. The printer comes with a range of good functions that you would get with a larger printer. I loved the privacy pickup which allows printing to be delayed till I am there to pick it up. Another great feature was to be able to print double sided I tested the standard functions, colour printing, and copying which produced high quality documents. I have not yet scanned a document yet. Printing photos straight from my mobile phone using the App was so easy. My school/ college going kids find it convenient to print their study material and activities with a click from their devices and have not heard any complaints from them like I would with my previous printer. If you are looking for a great family printer for your home or small office that is low-cost and high-volume printing you can’t go wrong with HP Smart Tank 7005 All-in-One Printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by justcoastin from A good home-office printer I have owned HP printers before and never had any problems with them, so I was fairly confident this would be a good machine. I was impressed by the size of the ink bottles that came with the printer (70ml). You can see a comparison beside a mouse in the attached photo (mouse not included with the printer, of course). I was also impressed with the amount of paper the tray holds - nearly half a ream. Connecting the printer to my network on the iPhone app was really easy but not quite so straightforward on my Mac. Possibly more of an OS issue than HP's. My Mac found the printer via Bonjour straight away, but, at first, it wouldn't show up in the print selection list. Not sure if it was installing the HP app that fixed the problem, but it showed up next time I tried to print. I had a bit of trouble setting up the printer, my fault, I didn't notice that the black ink bottle was hidden under some packaging, but it did mean that I got to experience HP's customer care, which was absolutely excellent. The (native English speaking) support agent walked me through the whole setup process and even called back two days later to check that everything was ok. Setting up the HP app on my Mac was a bit of a mission. Got there eventually, but it took four attempts and about 1/2 an hour. If you're not using the scanning feature of the printer much, you can skip the app setup on your laptop/phone and just use your OS's print function. The print quality is great. The printer makes the usual noises when you send it a document and then prints at a reasonably fast pace. All in all, it is a good solid machine. I was unable to subtract just half a star for the setup issues, but the excellent customer support made up for it anyway, so 5 stars. Oh, and don't worry if it feels like you're going to break the lid when you open it to put in the ink. It's really stiff but will open without breaking. It gets easier after a few openings.

I have 2 children, one being school age, as well as my own digital invitation business, meaning I regularly print for quality control. This printer works fast, quietly and prints to a high quality. I love the fact that it has so much ink, so I’m not wasting money refilling as I had to do with my previous printer. A great long term money saver.

If you cancel the subscription you are UNABLE to print. Which means if you only use it every now and then and choose to not use the subscription, you are UNABLE to use the printer at all. There is NO manual option. They DO NOT tell you this when you purchase the printer. If there are any issue with your account you will NOT be able to print EVEN if the printer is in good working condition and has plenty of ink. I would have NOT purchase this printer if I had of known that the subscription does not allow for an opt out service. HP Support - very difficult to get onto the support team and have found them to be unhelpful. I suggest HP retrain their support staff and to test the market for a product that consumers actually want rather than creating products that do not satisfy the customer

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mt07 from Excellent value for money This is a very functional printer providing excellent value for money. I was absolutely shocked by the amount of ink included in the box. Setting up was relatively seamless. The manual instructions were a bit overwhelming but you can install the app which will guide you instead, which is what I did. The installation with the app was super easy and it showed everything step by step with visuals. Although the app had some connectivity issues at the start. Something to keep in mind is that the printer doesn’t come with any cables out of the box. So everything will be via wifi only. In terms setting up the ink, you need to manually fill in the canisters yourself. It comes with 4 large bottles with tons of ink. I was scared it would go everywhere when filling but it didn’t. It was super easy and a very clean process. One tip I would have is to hold the ink complete straight up when filling as it does it much quicker. In terms of the printer itself, it’s great. The print quality is really good even at the lowest quality option. It’s relativity quiet to operate too. The scan function is very excellent. Super fast with no loss in quality. I also love that it has an enclosed paper tray. Looks more cleaner. The functionality of the app is great too. You can scan to your phone/tablet from the app. You can print from the app. You don’t even have to be at home. You can print something when you’re on the go and have it ready to collect when you get home. It is also super easy to set up the app on numerous devices, and I’ve been able to do it for others in the house very quickly. In terms of functionality when you’re at the printer, it only has a few buttons and a tiny screen. The lack of a full size touch screen is a bit annoying and you need to rely on the app a lot more. Nonetheless it has buttons for most things you’ll need like photocopying both in black and white, and in colour. Also has a ID scan button so you can scan both sides onto one paper. If you want to change any settings however, or do things like low or high quality photocopying you’ll need to do it from the app or your computer. Overall though this is an excellent printer. While the lack of a screen is a bit annoying, the other positives far out way it. Heaps of ink that can last up to 2 years (incredible!), great quality print, good print speed, quiet and smooth operation, and stylish design too. It provides great value for money, especially for people that print a lot.

The unit comes in a box just a little bigger than itself. The printer is wrapped in a plastic packaging with a handle on the top, making removing from the box extremely easy, just lay the box flat and pull it out. There is another small box underneath which contains the power cable, 4x ink bottles and 2x print heads. Setting up the printer is very easy, simply plug in the power cable and turn on the unit. The entire setup is done via the HP Smart app on either Android or iOS. The app will automatically discover the printer and provide step by step instruction with animation to guide the user through the process. The ink loading process is very simple thanks to the non-spill design, the print heads simply click into place, making the entire setup process a breeze. The printer comes in an elegant two-tone design, with the body in white and top & bottom in dark grey. It’s a boxy unit with nothing protruding on either side, making it a good fit anywhere. My son is very intrigued by the printer and seeing pages coming out that I send straight to the printer from my phone over Wi-Fi is like magic to him. The HP Smart app also has a section where there are all sorts of activity templates for children, making the printer fun for the whole family. The print quality is excellent in both colour and black & white, the ink on the page dries as it comes out so there is no chance of smudging like other inkjet printer. Auto duplex printing is a very convenient feature offered by this printer to save paper. The print speed is reasonably quick for most home and small business use. The scan feature comes very handy to digitise documents, it can scan directly to my phone which is a plus. The ink that came with the printer claims to be able to print over 6000 pages compares to cartridges which only has capacity for few hundred pages. This is a big plus for a small home business as there is considerable ongoing savings to be had. I have yet to verify the 6000 pages claim but given the few hundred pages I’ve printed so far with hardly any drop in the ink level I’d say it’s very achievable. Overall I’d highly recommend this printer. It’s compact size, clean design, easy to setup, good print quality and high page output ticks many boxes for most Home and Small Business users.

Very easy to set up the first time, it has a large paper storage tray and the ink levels show on the outside very clearly which is great to know when you need a refill. Setting up the printer was a breeze with the HP Smart app giving step by step directions including images and it made the process really smooth. The digital screen is tiny for a new age printer but the amount of features packed in the machine far outweigh this, coupled with almost all functionalities available on the app , this is a perfect printer for a family with adults who are working from home and kids that have printing needs to support with school work and craft activities . I have thoroughly enjoyed owning this printer and using it despite not being technically savvy myself it’s been very smooth to set up and start using the features. It’s a powerful printer that doesn’t feel noisy and prints at a great speed. The feature that stood out for me was the life of the ink tank and not needing to buy expensive cartridges over n over again. Not making old cartridges go to landfill and instead using small plastic bottles that give a long life are an excellent innovation. I strongly recommend this printer to all families as a powerhouse of a machine

The HP 7005 printer is easy to set up, includes a set up booklet, instructions with a QR code to follow online instructions complete with images. The online instructions were easy to follow. Ink is easy to fill. No leakage when filling them up. Connects Wirelessly, which was easly to set up. I tested photo printing from my mobile phone. I need to fine tune this as my attempts on normal copy paper (all auto settings) printed the image larger than it showed on the print screen and cut off part of the image. Printing on photo paper it was a lot better. I put settings to “best” and changed the paper settings. Printing from phone is simple using the downloaded app and the plug in for my Android. I had one issue with this. When I tried to cancel a print, it wouldn't allow any further printing until I had closed the app, turned the machine off and on again. Quick to print, it took about 30 seconds to print a standard page, took approx. 2 mins to print on best quality on photo paper. It is quieter than my old printer. I printed documents from my email directly from my mobile perfectly. It is so simple and timesaving. I had to download each attachment from my emails to be able to print them. I used the copy feature is easily. For double sided copying you reload the paper back into the paper tray for the 2nd side. No auto feeder for multiple paper scanning. I had to manually do each page. It has a large paper tray that holds up to 100 sheets. The HP 7005 is a good quality easy to use printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 1PW123 from A terrific all-in-one From the moment you open the HP 7005’s box it becomes clear that ease of use has been at the forefront of its design. Whilst you can choose to set it up manually, HP also provide an app for first-time setup. I chose to go this route, and I can tell you that I have never had an easier time setting up a peripheral. The app walks you through each step of the setup process, from removing the protective packaging, to connecting to wifi, to filling the ink tanks. The included illustrations were instructive and incredibly easy to follow. I was a little nervous about the included bottles of ink, having only used printer cartridges in the past, but filling the ink tanks was surprisingly straightforward, and my fears of spilt ink and mess proved happily unfounded. Once set up, the printer continues to be incredibly efficient. Printing over wifi is fast and reliable, and the printer turns out simple black-and-white pages at an impressive clip. I also put the printer through its paces with some photos and graphic logos printed on glossy photo paper, and whilst the print speed was understandably reduced, I can’t argue with the crisp, vibrantly-coloured results. It truly is a workhorse, producing prints of images and text that far exceed my requirements. Scanning is quick and simple via the included flatbed. An automatic document feeder is a notable absence here, though I have found these tend to be a common point of failure on consumer-grade printers and can be more hassle than they’re worth. In any event, scanning is straightforward and the images created are beautifully crisp. Overall, the printer meets and exceeds my expectations. It’s a true all-in-one, in that not only does it do everything, but it does everything well. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for a home or small business device.

The printer has nice packaging. Good size for home use and small business owner. The setup process and the HP app was easy and straight forward making printing from anvwhere is really convenient. It comes with 4 ink bottles which was really to install, mesh free. Overall, HP printer was a great product. l'll def recommend and repurchase in the future

The box is very compact and the printer just fit inside without a lot of wastage. It had two handles so you can easily lift the printer out of the box. Considering it is an all in one it is quite small and light so you can easily move it around if need be. The tank holds much more ink and is easily filled. The setup was so easy through the app it also comes with step by step directions. The printing is very fast with amazing quality In colour and black and white it is also quite. I found it very convenient to be be able to print emails from my phone wirelessly and have them double sided if needed. The scanning is very easy and comes out very clear. I really like that it has refillable ink instead of the cartridges which is a plus for me it is also cost affective as it comes with around 2 years of ink. I definitely recommend and will continue to use the HP smart all tank 7005 for my small business.

The HP Smart Tank 7005 seemed like a perfect fit for our home and after using the product for a month, we are very happy with our purchase. The print quality is great and does both black and white as well as colour printing. Given it is uses tanks for the ink, the ink tanks last much longer than our previous ink cartridge printer. The printer comes included with enough ink to last 2 years which is great. And the mess-free tank refilling system was easy to use. A very important feature for us was to have wireless printing, which this printer does with ease. Setup and connecting to the home wi-fi was very simple, and with the mobile app, we can print documents straight from our phone to the printer no matter where we are in the house. The automatic double-sided printing is also convenient as it saves paper, and the large paper capacity means we won’t need to replace paper as often. The print quality of the colour printing is fantastic for school and creative projects, not to mention the scanning quality is very good for signed documents. If you are looking for an easy-to-use printer for home or small office use, with a large ink and paper capacity, then I highly recommend the HP Smart Tank 7005 All-in-One Printer.

I was online within minutes – completely wireless! * The app features are very desirable – you have complete view of how your ink & paper levels are, you can even queue your documents to print “offline” * Simple Spill Free refill ink! – I really thought it would be messy, but honestly so stress free! * Environmentally conscious printing - This printer is made from recycled printers and other electronics-more than 25% by weight of plastic. What I liked less: * The quality of the print is no better than my previous printer, if only slightly (though maybe I need to print better graphics to begin with!) * For “noobs” like myself, I would have loved to have more descriptive buttons, as they simply have symbols, and my brain could not cope with that! (though you can still use the app for this) The printer I was using before this would often need lots of resetting & troubleshooting to be convinced to print even a few pages, so having this trusty & Reliable gadget by my side is a GAME CHANGER!! I would happily recommend this printer for family, home, and office users alike! Its definitely great for anyone who needs a trusty sidekick!!

Something not complicated and hard to setup. This is my first time owning an ink tank printer, HP Smart Tank 7005 All-in-One Printer and I’m very impressed with the print quality and longevity of this one. Its just great from the whole family as we can download the app on our phones and get started with the wireless connectivity. The set up was a breeze. The app walks you through everything or comes with a manual. Prints easy and fast. For home it has worked flawlessly through my computer, iPhone and tablets. The printer quality is amazing too. With primary aged kids it’s always convenient to print, scan and fax their study material and activities with a click from their devices. Its low cost and flexible making it a great home printer. We love printing photos as well and it delivers color graphics and crisp text for our everyday prints. I feel that these tanks seem like they hold much more ink, and the replacement bottles seem much more economical than cartridges. That really made it my favorite as I dont like to spend to much on the ink and cartridges. The scanning factor is really great, the images come out clear and the instructions are easy to follow for those who aren't tech savvy. Another winner is that the mess-free recyclable bottles make it simple to refill the Toner Tank System and no more spills . The design is sleek and looks really great in my small home office. Its low maintainence and not too heavy so I can easily place it anywhere from small to medium table. There is a bottles of ink with the printer so I don’t have to worry about ink refills for upto 2 years. Rated 5 out of 5 by LG 1961 from Small printer, Big functions My first thoughts of the HP Smart Tank 7005 printer was that it was a nice size for home use and light enough that I could move it around the home if needed. The set up of the printer was very quick and trouble-free with great step by step (including pictures) instructions. No need to search and watch any instructional videos. It was quick and clean to fill the ink compartments with no messy accidents, all fingers spotless! It is great that the printer comes with roughly two years worth of ink so no need to worry about that for a while. The ‘Set Up’ App was informative and easy to work through. It was straightforward to set up the printer to our wifi network using the App. Again, using the App, connecting all the household devices, (computer, mobiles and tablets) was unproblematic. The printer comes with all the functions that I would expect on a larger printer. Of particular interest was the Privacy Pickup, allowing printing to be delayed till I am at the computer. The other very useful function for me was being able to print double sided items like credit cards or driver licences. The normal process is print one side, turn over card, feed the page back in so you have both sides on the one page, with this printer it does it all for you. I tested the standard functions, colour printing, photo printing, copying and scanning - all were easier to do and produced high quality documents. Printing photos straight from my mobile phone for, using the App, made it so easy. The printer is so quiet that when I first printed from my computer ,in the next room, I hit print a couple of times because I could not hear it printing. I have two issues that do not impinge of the actual function of the printer: I am a little on the short side and I have placed the printer on top of a cabinet so it would be handy for me to have a display unit that could be tilted so I can read it easier and the other issue is it would be nice to have back lights on all of the buttons to make them easier to read.

Build quality is better than expected. Print quality is impressive and the paper tray is a great feature not found on other printers. Included with the printer is enough ink for 6000 pages. Very low cost per page and fast print speed.
