Spots or dots repeating down the page every 2.0 inches (51 mm) in a column or columns.

Troubleshooting and suggestions

  1. If the issue shown above occurs, take the secondary transfer roller Picture of the secondary transfer roller. out of the printer. Show me how.
  2. Check the secondary transfer roller.
    CAUTION: Do not touch the spongy roller surface of the secondary transfer roller. Skin oils on the roller can cause image quality problems.
    After removing the secondary transfer roller, check it for debris. If there is a label or adhesive present on the secondary transfer roller, gently try to remove it. Reinsert the secondary transfer roller into the printer. Show me how.
  3. Print and examine another set of PQ troubleshooting pages. Show me how.
  4. If the issue is not resolved, the secondary transfer roller may be damaged. To replace it with a new one, purchase a secondary transfer roller assembly kit. Then, install the new secondary transfer roller. Show me how.
