There’s one big problem with finding fun Among Us mods you can actually play. There are hundreds of them out there, with YouTube videos with millions of views.
But if you try to find download links for those mods, you’re out of luck. Why? Because most of the mods with great videos on YouTube are for private use only.

What is Among Us?
Among Us has a massive base of devoted fans who love the game’s mind-bending challenge. It’s a super-fun survival battle where you have to discover Impostors and vote them off your spaceship. Mods make an already-great game 10x more fun, because they switch things up in warped ways and add new roles for your players.

There’s a new sheriff in town, and he’s wearing a spacesuit. The Among Us Sheriff mod lets one crewmember be the local law. The sheriff has a kill button, and can kill impostors without waiting for a team vote. But there’s only one problem. Try to kill an innocent player, and you’ll die instead.

What if a pair of crewmembers on your ship had their own special superpowers? That’s what you’ll get in the awesome Town of Impostors Among Us mod.
You’ll have an impostor, of course, but also a Doctor who can revive the dead and a Sheriff who can kill impostors. It’s fun, but not too complex, making for one of the cleanest mods on the web.
3. Skeld Among Us mod
This is definitely one of the best Among Us mods you can get your hands on, with tons of new game modes. For instance, the Identity Crisis mode makes everyone change their identity at every meeting. A Zombie mode makes one player try to infect all the others. There are 11 nutty game modes in all.
4. The Haunted Mansion Among Us mod
So spooky! This time you’re not on a spaceship. Instead, you’re in a haunted house complete with candlelight, cobwebs, hard-to-find light switches, and tombstones with actual skulls on them. This is kind of like living a mystery in a creepy movie, thanks to the high-quality worldbuilding of The Haunted Mansion Among Us mod.
5. Cursed Among Us mod
In this absolutely bonkers Among Us mod, some players are Cursed. Those players have four sneaky abilities. They can curse the emergency button to eject players who use it, curse dead bodies and make them kill other players, curse tasks, and curse the vents so they’ll eat Impostors.
6. Cmds Roles Among Us mod
If you’re looking for a metric ton of new roles for your Among Us gameplay, look no further. The Cmds Roles Among Us mod has roles for Hacker, Reverse Jester, Ninja, Seer, Survivor, Curser, Electrician, Tracker, Helper, Teleporter, and dozens of others. There are a lot of roles in this mod.
7. Vampy Among Us mod
This mod is super fun. The Impostors are vampires and will suck your blood dry. The thing is, you’ve all got little bat ears, so who’s the actual bloodsucker? You can use Bloodrush mode to spy on the crewmembers, kill, and even turn into a bat and fly between rooms. “I vant to vote you out!”
8. Town of Us Among Us mod
If you want a lot going on in your Among Us games, try the Town of Us mod. There are tons of roles (maybe too many?) to learn and try. There’s a Mayor, who can save up their votes and use them all at once, and the Lovers, who win the game if they both make the final three. Plus, you get a Sheriff, Engineer, Seer, Child, Spy, and 7 other roles with special powers.
9. Extra Roles Among Us mod
Very similar to the Town of Us Among Us mod, the Extra Roles mod has tons of additional roles, including the now-familiar Sheriff and Engineer roles, a Medic who can protect other players, and so many others. This mod’s huge selection of roles makes the gameplay equally chaotic and fun.
10. Zombies Among Us mod
Brains! Instead of Impostors, you’ll face ghoulish zombies eager to feast on your flesh. You’ll need to mow them all down with high-powered laser fire. The Zombies Among Us mod is a totally intense mod where you’ll pile up bodies that try to overwhelm your ship. It’s so much fun, especially if you survive.
11. Love Couple Among Us mod
From the Town of Us Among Us mod, the lovers win by being one of the last three players alive. But beware! If one lover is killed, the other dies, too. The lovers actually help the Impostor as they battle to survive. But what if one lover is an Impostor? That’s when the real fun begins in the Love Couple Among Us mod.
12. ColorsPlus Among Us mod
What would happen if the colour of your character randomly changed every 15 seconds? That would make it really hard to keep track of gameplay, wouldn’t it? The ColorsPlus Among Us mod creates some seriously hilarious shenanigans as you struggle to figure out who’s who. There are also no names above the players’ heads. What???

This is a wacky new Among Us map with all your favourite Brawl Stars rooms and items, like gems, safes, and more. This map looks a lot like a map from your favourite game, with tasks that are all Brawl Stars-based.

Would Among Us be more fun if you played it with bunnies instead of spacemen? Who knows? You, that’s who, when you download and play the incredibly weird Crewbunny Among Us mod.
There aren’t any special powers to explore with this mod. It just makes you look like you’ve got a carrot craving and a hop in your pants.
20. Minecraft Among Us Mod
Among Us is a massively fun game. So is Minecraft. Why not merge them? This is one of the most ridiculous mods available, where you chop down trees and get wood, mine and get stone, make tools, and build things, all while dodging the impostor. You can’t actually download this one, but the video is too fun not to include.
How to install Among Us mods
Now that you know how to get Among Us mods, here’s how you can install them:
- Download the mod and unzip it.
- Go to the install directory in the game. In the Steam platform, right-click Among Us, then choose Manage > Browse local files.
- Add the unzipped files to your Among Us directory.
- Run the game. The first time you use a new mod, it may take a few minutes.
- If you’ve correctly installed the mod, its name will show in the top left of the menu screen.
