The display is amazing and doesn’t strain your eyes, making it comfortable for extended use. The performance is good for most tasks. However, when running heavy games and CAD software, I noticed some stuttering and delays. The battery life is excellent for simple tasks like browsing or casual use. However, it drains quickly when playing games, so you’ll need to keep the charger handy. So far, I haven’t experienced any overheating issues, which is a big plus. Overall This is a . I would recommend it to others.

I only play games like genshin, forza 5 and valorant, which gave me smooth and high graphics and no processing issues with my work. Only problem I found is with the amd graphics driver which I needed to update to amd stock driver instead of oem one.

Design and Build Quality The HP Omen laptop boasts a sleek, professional design with a robust metal keyboard frame that adds to its durability. While the model I purchased weighs 2.4kg, which is slightly on the heavier side, it’s expected for a gaming laptop. Despite the weight, the overall build quality is exceptional, and the device feels solid in hand. The battery life is another highlight, contributing to an excellent user experience. Battery Life Battery performance is a strong suit of this laptop. I managed to get over 7 hours of battery life with light tasks such as web browsing and media consumption. Simple activities like using Microsoft Office barely drain the battery. The Ryzen 7000 series processor is particularly impressive in its ability to vary clock speeds based on usage, optimizing both performance and energy efficiency. HP Omen Hub The HP Omen Hub is one of my favorite features, offering extensive customization options to tweak the system to my liking. I highly recommend downloading Light Studio right away, as the basic lighting settings in the Omen Hub offer limited customization. HP has also optimized this laptop for various workloads; it automatically switches to performance mode when gaming, and when the power goes off, it shifts to ECO mode (if auto ECO is enabled). Additionally, it reduces the display refresh rate to 60Hz when on battery, which significantly helps conserve battery life. Processor and GPU Performance The laptop's processor and GPU handle heavy workloads with ease. While it may not be the top choice for 4K video editing, it can certainly manage it. The RTX 4070 GPU shines in gaming and other GPU-intensive tasks. The system seamlessly switches between the integrated and dedicated GPUs, but you can also configure it to use the dedicated GPU for all tasks if required. Gaming Performance The laptop's cooling system is well-engineered, featuring two exhaust vents at the back, two on the sides, and a large intake vent at the bottom. Fan noise is minimal during everyday tasks and when playing less demanding games like Valorant and Overwatch. For instance, in Valorant, I achieved a maximum of 635 FPS, and during gameplay, I generally get around 350-400 FPS at low settings and around 300 FPS at maximum settings. This provides an idea of the performance in esports titles. When playing more demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2, the fan noise becomes more noticeable in a small room, though using headphones can easily mask it. I received Black Myth: Wukong with my purchase, and while it struggles at max settings, lowering them slightly allows for smooth gameplay at 60 FPS or higher. The laptop's thermals are excellent, rarely exceeding 60-65°C, even during intense gaming sessions. It remains comfortable to use on my lap, thanks to the well-designed intake vents and slightly elevated underside. Overall Experience I’m thoroughly satisfied with my HP Omen laptop. I got an incredible deal by purchasing during a sale, which included a flat ₹10,000 cashback and a laptop exchange offer (₹15,000 + ₹8,000 bonus), bringing the price below ₹1 lakh. The gaming performance, build quality, and features make it a fantastic choice for gamers and power users alike. I would definitely recommend the HP Omen to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from You cannot go wrong with this! Great machine for the price it comes at. The 4060 handles literally anything you throw at it. The processor is also good. The only thing that holds it back is 8GBx2 RAMs which means you would need to discard both the 8GB sticks in case you are looking to upgrade the RAM. The thermals are well managed without the use of a cooling pad as well, the fans do go on the louder side. Overall, it is a well rounded machine which can handle day to day task very easily and give you a great gaming experience on high to ultra settings.

Build quality can be improved with metal at least the bottom panel, as my older HP Omen 15 had metal bottom which feel more sturdy, rebust. Fan noice can be improved as well. Hope when I buy my next HP Omen it will come with full metal build, most people prefer metal build only.
