HP Rewards Loyalty Program Terms and Conditions

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY BEFORE PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROGRAM. BY PARTICIPATING IN THE HP REWARDS PROGRAM, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS OF USE AND ALL TERMS INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE.

General Information

The HP Rewards Program is brought to you by HP Inc. Participation and benefits shall be considered void where prohibited by law. Taxes may apply where required by law. HP Inc. assumes no liability for any user's participation that contravenes the laws or regulations of his or her state. Your participation is subject to present and future program rules. Your participation is valid only at hp.com and rewards may only be earned and redeemed on participating products. By participating in the HP Rewards program, you agree to receive email communications that may contain important information about your account or membership.

HP Inc. specifically reserves the right to terminate, cancel, suspend and/or modify the HP Rewards Program, or any specific User's participation in the HP Rewards Program, if any fraud, virus or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, safety or proper function of the HP Rewards Program, as determined by HP Inc. in its sole discretion. In addition, HP Inc reserves the right to terminate, cancel, suspend and/or permanently ban any specific User's participation in the HP Rewards Program if HP suspects that such User is conducting fraudulent activity to acquire, accumulate or spend Rewards including, but not limited to, by a User creating multiple Rewards accounts, false referrals, etc.

Becoming a member

Open an account and become a member of the HP Rewards program by registering here or with a Call Center agent, by simply providing your name and email address. HP Rewards is currently offered to US residents only; effective October 2020

Earn points

Only HP Rewards members can earn Points and HP Rewards. Points cannot be earned for purchases made prior to becoming an HP Rewards member. Members must be signed-in to earn points on eligible purchases.

Registration

Earn 100 points by registering with HP Rewards.

Qualifying purchases

Earn 1 point for every $1 spent on a qualifying HP.com purchase. Qualifying purchases are defined as purchases of products from the following categories:

  • Select Laptops and Desktops
  • Select Printers
  • Business PCs (Elite, Pro and Workstation brands)
  • HPE Servers
  • Select Monitors, Accessories & Carepacks
  • Select Ink, Toner & Paper

This excludes free gift promotions, sales tax, state fees, shipping charges, delivery charges, personalized products purchased on store.hp.com, discounts, redemption of HP Rewards, redemption of gift cards, and fees or other excluded charges. Employee Purchase Program (EPP), HP Employee Purchase program (HPEPP), Private Store, Amazon, eBay or other marketplace program purchases are not eligible. Not valid for any resale activity as defined by HP.com. Contract and volume customers not eligible.

Calculation

Points are calculated on total price after discounts, HP Rewards redemptions, and before taxes, shipping and other fees. The amount is then rounded to the nearest point. For example, a sales total of $299.99 before taxes will be reflected as 300 points.

Exclusions

Points are earned on qualifying products on store.hp.com based on the purchase value excluding discounts, redemption of HP Rewards dollars, and redemption of gift cards, fees or other excluded charges. Purchases of HP.com gift cards are not eligible for points. Employee Purchase Program (EPP), HP Employee Purchase program (HPEPP), Private Store, Amazon, eBay or other marketplace program purchases are not eligible. Not valid for any resale activity as defined by HP.com. Contract and volume customers not eligible.

Expiration

Member points will expire 180 days from the time they become “Available” to you. For example:

    Product purchase date: January 1, 2021

    • Points are placed in “Pending” status for approximately 36 days
    • Points move from “Pending” to “Available” status on February 6, 2021

    Un-used points expire:

    • August 5, 2021

Points expire immediately for members that opt-out of the HP Rewards Program.

Issuance

HP Rewards points are issued to your online HP Rewards account (available via your store.hp.com account) typically within 36 calendar days after your order’s ship date. “Pending Points” balance amount may not reflect the most recent transactions occurring within the past 36 calendar days. Customers must be enrolled in the HP Rewards program to earn points.


Returns

The points associated with a returned product/purchase will be deducted from the account balance. Should the number of points deducted from the account create a negative balance, future points earned and posted to the account will be applied to the negative balance until the account balance reaches zero. All subsequent points earned will resume accumulating for future Rewards.


Cancelled orders

Points associated to cancelled orders will be deducted from the pending points balance.


Accounts

Multiple accounts can be merged and the earned points combined at HP Inc’s sole discretion. Points received for multiple account registrations will be deducted from the total. Members can only receive a maximum of 100 points for account registration(s).

Rewards

Redemption

HP Rewards can be redeemed towards the purchase of any qualifying product at store.hp.com or by phone at 1-888-999-4747 by the expiration date.

The dollar value of the HP Reward must be less than the purchase price of the qualifying product, minus taxes, shipping costs or other fees.

Exclusions

Rewards are not redeemable for cash or gift cards or extension of terms. Employee Purchase Program (EPP), HP Employee Purchase program (HPEPP), Private Store, Amazon, eBay or other marketplace program purchases are not eligible for HP Rewards. Not valid for any resale activity as defined by HP.com. Contract and volume customers not eligible. Program is valid in the United States only. Program details are subject to change.

HP.com is not liable for unclaimed or expired Rewards. Members may not give/donate/transfer/share their HP Rewards to another member’s account. HP Inc. may determine, in its sole discretion, to restrict the redemption of Rewards with respect to certain products. Other HP restrictions may apply.

Promotional offers

HP Rewards cannot be combined with Ink & Toner hp.com store coupons, hp.com store discounts or non-hp.com promotional offers.

Rewards & Returns

HP Rewards will be re-issued to the member in the value redeemed, where a qualified product purchase is returned.

Privacy

HP recognizes the fundamental importance of privacy, security and data protection to our customers worldwide. Please read our Privacy Statement to learn more about our privacy practices and the choices you can make about the way we collect and use information about you.

Opt-out

In the event a member chooses to opt-out of the HP Rewards Loyalty Program, all benefits including all accrued Loyalty Points, Rewards and other program benefits will automatically and immediately be forfeited. A member can opt-out of the HP Rewards Loyalty Program by speaking with a Call Center agent.

Termination

Participation in the HP Rewards Program is a privilege granted to HP users and as such can be suspended, revoked or terminated at any time by HP for any reason or for no reason. In the event of termination of your participation, all benefits including all accrued Loyalty Points, Rewards and other program benefits will automatically and immediately be forfeited.

Program Changes

HP reserves the right to vary any or all of the terms of the HP Rewards Program, to amend these Terms of Service, or to terminate the HP Rewards Program, at any time without notice and without further obligations to users, including, but not limited to, modifications which: a) govern Loyalty Points and Rewards earned on and after the date of the change; or b) change the value of already accumulated Loyalty Points. Notice of any such changes, amendments or termination will be provided to users via message or email, or by being posted on the store.hp.com website and will be effective immediately, unless otherwise stated in such notification.
