Price is very good for what you're getting. It had protective packaging and fast delivery. Love the loop on the back for the cords. While such a small feature, it makes cord management great. This is my fourth HP monitor over many years and not one has been a disappointment.

The only reason that I 'purchased' this is because I had a $125 credit from a piece of garbage HP laptop. Otherwise I have decided to avoid HP products including printers, computers and peripherals.

It was easy to mute the imbedded speakers and stick to my larger peripheral ones. HP only gets a '4' for this one because there was no power cord in the box and the warranty slip was printed in every language of the world except English.

    What are the dimensions of the black base platform of the stand?

    We do not have the size of just the stand base, but the monitor itself stand alone depth is 2.02 in. and with the stand it is 7.11 in.

    What does on screen controls mean? Does this indicate a full touch screen functionality like a laptop for Surface pro?

    No, this is not a touchscreen. The controls for the display are on the bottom of the display. When you press the control panel button the options show on the screen.
