No screen tearing or artifacts without sync turned on. Only issue is you lose any color accuracy if you enable windows HDR within the OS but I’m sure that just windows being unrefined. I highly recommend this monitor.

    Thank you for your question regarding the OMEN by HP 34-inch WQHD 165Hz Curved Gaming Monitor. You can go into the OSD and make sure the Adaptive Sync is turned on. If you are still not getting the option on the Xbox Series X, you will want to contact Microsoft Support about troubleshooting.

    Will this monitor be able to run 144 hz when connected to a gaming laptop by a hdmi 2.1 cable? Or can it only get to 144hz with a display port cable?

    Thank you for your question! HDMI 2.1 can support a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz at 4K resolution and a staggering 240Hz at 1080p resolution. This will of course be reliant on the video itself and the cable being an HDMI 2.1 cable.

    Thank you for your question! This OMEN 34c will be compatible with any device that uses DisplayPort™ and HDMI for video. Be aware the OMEn 34c does not have built-in speakers so external speakers or headphones will need to be used. The OMEN 34C does have a 3.5 mm Audio Jack (Audio Out) for this purpose.
