The cartridge is exactly what I need for my printer. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the box was slightly damaged in shipping and I think it needs to be shipped inside some form of protection to prevent the box from being damaged. Also when you place the shipping lablel directly on the outside of the box it is difficult to remove so you can send the empty cartridge to be recycled.

Is this the toner for HP 3001dw?
The HP LaserJet Pro 3001dn can use the 138A or 138X. The 138A is the standard yield which is good for up to 1500. The 138X is the high yield and good for up to 4000 pages.
