Misleading term of 3 year HP Care Pack
On January 4, 2024 I received an email from HP.com which stated: "Most Care Pack orders from our store are now automatically registered. Within two to three weeks of purchase, you will receive an email confirming the registration or requesting details for the HP product you wish to cover to complete the registration process."
Please be advised that I have not yet received such an email as of January 22, 2024.
In addition, I feel that the 3 year extended warranty Protection Plan is really only just a two year warranty as the first year is running concurrently with the standard 1 year warranty. What does the first year of the extended warranty cover that the standard 1 year warranty does not cover? I will gladly reconsider my initial rating if someone can answer that question. Thank you.

An excellent product.
I purchased this care pack because the sales person recommended it, especially because there is a money back feature if I never have to use it. That seemed like a win/win situation to me. I hope I don't need to use it, but feel good that I have the coverage should I need it.

Recent TWO purchases
I am confused -- which care package do you want me to review, the CPU or the keyboard & mouse? If it is the CPU, I purchased the "3-year plan" which my math says should be til 6/2025 but last time I check my computer say it ends in June 2023. For that you would receive NO stars, and yes I have contacted several people to get this resolved. No problem with the keyboard & mouse, only took the 1-year.

What can go wrong at HP
The bad news is that HP products are no longer being constructed of quality materials which further impair their ability to last. From the poorly performing keyboard that doesn't register every key stroke to shipping poorly pre-paired All-In-One PCs what have permanently adversely affected the efficient use by taking a 1 TB hard drive and handicapping it with a 119 GB partition. DUUUUHHHH ! ! ! And then the HP rocket scientists joining with the INK MAFIA and charging $750 per liter of ink ! ! ! These will be my last HP products ! ! !

I enjoy the pace of mind of having the HP 3 year protection plan. things just don't last like they used to but the HP protection is a comprehensive plan. Computers are expensive so protecting such a large investment is a must.

Greatest deal ever!
What could be better? If I don't need it, my money is refunded at the end of the 3 year period. So it's there if something comes up, but doesn't cost me a penny if I never use it. Most extended warranties are just money down the drain. You pay for it and so often you don't need the coverage. With the money-back guarantee, you only pay for it if you use it. Can't ask for more than that.

Poor order procedures
When you canceled two computers you didn’t issue credit for the 3 year protection plan. Finally got credit after multiple calls. Did not get credit for the Microsoft package since it was non refundable. So I ended up paying for HP mistake and something I never received

I received an email a month ago, stating that 'HP registers the service on your behalf'. I checked on the website yesterday - no Protection Plan.
After waiting for 20+ minutes to speak to a support agent, she transferred me to Care Pack support - another 20 minute wait.
This agent informed me that I hadn't registered the product. Another 20 minutes for her to ask for all the information I had already provided with the original purchase - and which is already in my profile.
Come on, HP. Is this the best you can do?
