Done with HPThe HP print head did not work and I had to send it back. HP was extremely unhelpful. My printer has only printed approximately 15 pages and the original ink had to be replaced. I replaced with HP inks and it would not accept so told to get new print head which didn't align, then told to get another part whick I refused. There was not maintenance plan offered and they said they could have an HP local rep come trouble shoot for $699.00. Needless to say I am not going to do that -- sounds like a scam! HP has been under fire in court for their HP ink scam and they lost so I am not trusting them. My printer was approx. $1,400.00 and I haven't gotten the use out of it. Not a good situation.

Easy to install yourselfI wish I knew to remove my ink cartridges if the plotter wasn't going to be used for an extended period of time, but at least this was an easily replaceable item and did not break the bank. I'm glad it was in stock and that it came with 4 starter ink cartridges.

Replace printheadThe new replacement is working fine, but it's super frustrating that a $300 replacement printhead is even needed! My plotter is two years old and I probably print 15-20 24x36 size sheets a year. And, in effort to figure out why the old print head wasn't working, I replaced all the ink cartridges. This new print head won't allow the used print cartridges (which are pretty much brand new) - frustrating!

What is the photo printhead for?
Do I need two black ink cartridges for my T230 printer?
Is the printhead set for a T230 a single module, not separate printheads as it was on earlier Designjet printers?
Asked by: ChuckDodd
Hello. Thanks for your question. The HP DesignJet T230 Printer uses one printhead for all 4 ink cartridges. You would need the HP 713 DesignJet Printhead Replacement Kit. There is one black ink, one yellow, one cyan, and one magenta cartridge.

Does the product "HP 713 DesignJet Printhead Replacement Kit, 3ED58A" include the ink cartridges, or must these be purchased separately?
