Never buy HP printer
This thing about HP only using “authentic HP ink cartridges” hit me without warning when I allowed a software update to be installed on my HP Inkjet Pro. Actually , I thought that I bought authentic HP ink cartridges, but after the software update was installed, I had to buy over $100 of new ink cartridges. I will never vuy another HP product again.

Beware HP shipping operation not what it used to be.
Customer service simply NOT ACCEPTABLE. The package with the cartridges arrived in damaged condition. I wrote to HP and even sent photos and have heard nothing back from them since then. Beware! The package was large and had no packing in it so when delivery people started throwing it around and piling other heavier boxes on top, the inevitable happened. The taping to secure the box was open allowing me to put my hand inside. Package was crushed in several places and a couple of the cartridge boxes were also crushed....

Total disappointment with what should have been routine maintenance
Total disappointment. I've used HP ink for decades, no problem. But this time, I loaded the new cartridge and got a "low ink" signal, even worse than the almost empty cartridge I replaced. The printer refused to print. Quality control missed this one.

Switched from the Instant Ink program to the Constant Cartridge practice.
Printer has been telling me it was needed for over two months, I click OK and go on printing without changing it. The printer’s low ink warning must be programmed specifically to enhance HP’s recurring revenue stream.

Be careful when opening
Two out of the first four cartridges I received spewed out ink as soon as I twisted the orange lever off. Lots of ink on my hands as I tried to protect the carpeted floor, although a ton of ink also got on carpet. HP said to send all 4 cartridges back and they would replace for free, but it looked as though they did charge for new cartridges. Haven't checked credit card yet, but I will not be happy if I had to pay double for one set of cartridges.
