Replacement ink cartridge trouble!
Our printers use HP 96 / 97 ink cartridges, so when we called to order them we were told that they were out of stock but 94 / 95 cartridges would interchange and work so we ordered them and got them in. When one of our 96 ran out of ink, we opened the package of 94 / 95 and noticed that the 94 cartridge was a good bit shorter than the 96 but tried to install it in the printer. The HP 6988 printer would not recognize the 94 cartridge so would not print with it. CAUTION: Do not accept HP's recommendation for a replacement cartridge of a different number. Always use the one that is designed for the printer. Now we have the hassle of trying to return the wrong cartridges.

Stick with HP Brand
Authentic HP cartridges is the only way to go. Expensive but worth the investment. Your printer is basically two printer cartridges with a motor and rollers built around it. Long time believer and experience counts after years of trying 3rd party supplies and seeing them fail.

Black and Color Ink Jet Cartridges
I needed Ink for our HP Printer. I love the INK Jet rather than Laser as I print on cloth for my quilting hobby. Laser doesn't work on fabric. We have had this HP 4100 Printer for sometime and love it too. Due to the Covid-19 our local Staples was out of stock. This is first time I ordered direct. It took a bit longer for shipping due to the 4th of July holiday but at least I got them as none to be found here in stores.

Worked out great!
I have an older portable hp printer for printing photos and was having a hard time finding the correct cartridge to use. Thanks HP for continuing to carry the ink cartridges for this printer. As long as it still works for me I wll keep using it. Now I know were to get the replacement cartridges for now.

I bought Color and black and when I put them in the printer, they (of course) did not work because they expired in 2013 and were no good. Silly me thought they were brand new. I am astonished that HP would send me such products. I have written them but have not heard back yet.

I normally purchase almost everything from Amazon but I decided to go onto the HP website itself and I'm so glad I did! The shipping was extremely fast!! I received it in 2 days for which I was grateful because I was completely out of ink in my printer and the installation is extremely easy and it started printing in color immediately. I will be purchasing all of my ink from the HP web site from now on.

Great product, right price, long expiration date
I purchased 3 HP 95 cartridges directly from HP. The price was the same as at popular retailers, shipping was free, and the expiration date is longer than what one normally finds at retailers, which means the product is fresher.
