Rated 5 out of 5 by Crystal K from Easy to set up Fairly easy to set up. Would love a more guided way to transfer files from another HP PC with a different microsoft cloud user name.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Baltimore Ben from Nice computer, but fewer features than Lenovo Really nice computer. I have been using IBM/Lenovo laptops for years, so this is my first non-Lenovo computer. The HP website works pretty well. The computer is fast, easy to setup. I have 2 disappointments: 1 is the touch pad. I have to place 2 fingers on the touch-pad to "right-click". Lenovo's have buttons for the clicking which I am more used to and prefer. The second is that this computer costs more than $2,000, yet it does not have a touch screen. A touch screen is really nice when I am working out of the office and allows me to sign documents with my finger. So, it was a big disappointment that this expensive laptop does not have a touch screen.

what's the difference between the elitebooks eight 4zero and ten4zero?

Asked by: john127
Hello John and thank you for your question! This would depend greatly on exactly which EliteBook 840 G11 and 1040 G11 you are viewing. Typically though, the 1040 has a faster RAM speed(7500 vs 5600), the 1040 is lighter overall(starting at 2.6 pounds versus the 840 starting at 3.13lb), and the 1040 has a 16:10 aspect ratio as opposed to the 840's 16:9. The 16:10 aspect ratio provides more vertical space, making it a good choice for productivity tasks like coding, document editing, and design work. Some popular resolutions for 16:10 screens include 1280 x 800, 1440 x 900, 1680 x 1050, 1920 x 1200, and 2560 x 1600. There are other differences as well and these comparisons may not hold for every 1040 G11 and 840 G11. As the G11 is the current model, the G11 specifications were used.
