Rated 4 out of 5 by Oscar's dad from Print Set Up Woes I like my printer very much, it prints clear and fast and it also does both sides of a page without my doing a thing. I had lots of trouble trying to get my computer to communicate with my printer. After three days and the use of both the IT folks from HP as well as from my computer I am now able to print. It was not clear to anyone that I dealt with that I was not to use my ENVY 6155e as the printer to use but rather another category (something like "all inclusive"). It works fine now so nothing got thrown out my window and in time I'll forget the trouble I had..

Rated 5 out of 5 by RockyA from Little powerhouse printer I love this printer! It was so easy to set up and use and there was no learning curve. Once it was out of the box I put it in the location I use for my work and plugged it in. It was connected to my wi-fi in no time and ready to use. All I had to do was insert the included ink cartridges, put in paper and enjoy. I also use instant ink service so my first shipment of ink came within about 3 weeks, just as the cartridges were running out. (The ones that come with the printer are small and don't have a lot of ink in them so you will want to replace them soon after buying). I love the new keypad on it that tells you exactly what to do and gives you the options for the pages you are printing. This is a great, economical printer and perfect for my needs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Barbieanne:-) from “Good Printer, But HP Support Is a Nightmare” The printer has been working well so far. While I haven’t explored all of its features, it has been reliable when needed. However, HP’s support has been the worst I have ever experienced. The initial setup process went smoothly until the final step, where the printer needed to be linked to my HP account. After an excessive number of hours spent on virtual chats, reviewing support pages, and speaking with HP support representatives, I eventually learned that this last step is what makes the printer’s serial number recognizable under my HP profile. Without the serial number appearing in my account, I was unable to create a support ticket—leaving HP support unable to assist me because they couldn’t see the serial number on their end. I followed every troubleshooting step provided, including resetting the printer to default settings and even resetting my own network. Yet, I kept encountering the same error message at the end of the setup process: “Exit setup and try again later to resolve this issue. If you continue to have issues setting up, contact HP Support. (Error Code: EBSOOP0013)” After multiple unsuccessful attempts to reach a live support agent through standard channels, I eventually contacted HP’s sales support. It took two separate attempts before I was finally provided with a different support number. At this point, I had been dealing with this issue for almost two weeks, and my patience was running thin—especially since I was trying to activate the free toner trial, which I was unsure would still be available given the delay. My final attempt at resolving the issue was even more frustrating. I spent nearly four hours on the phone with four different representatives, going through the same troubleshooting steps I had already performed countless times. While I understand the need to verify the issue, as someone in the technology field, I also recognize when a process is leading nowhere. By the end of this exhausting call, the issue remained unresolved, and my case was escalated. However, every follow-up call came while I was working, and when I attempted to return the call using the number provided, it didn’t work. Each new interaction felt like starting over from scratch, and ultimately, I was disconnected with no follow-up. After four days of not having the time or energy to repeat this process, my support ticket was closed. At this point, I am unsure whether I will keep the printer, as I still cannot connect its serial number to my account. I have yet to receive a clear answer on what other functions this might impact beyond the toner subscription. The rating I provided reflects my experience more with the short than with the printer itself, which has performed well so far. However, when it comes to future purchases, I will think twice—if not completely avoid—buying from HP again. This experience has been extremely disappointing, particularly because I also make purchasing decisions for my employer. If this level of support is what can be expected, I certainly will not be taking the risk of ordering a large number of HP devices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by d2bf from Compact, versatile and useful We got this printer because we needed a compact yet all in one printer and the HP Envy 6152e works flawlessly. it is compact yet it does everything we need including printing, including two sided printing, copy and scanning. We really like how easy it is to setup and since it can connect via WiFi we can print from our phone anywhere we are, or from any other device. The application from HP is very useful to do that, print wirelessly and it has helped us a lot. We can send a mobile fax, scan on the go and it is just easy to use. The tray can hold up to 100 sheets of paper and it is plenty for us. The touchscreen is very useful if we do not want to use the app or the computer to change the settings. It has been a perfect printer for our home, for printing projects, homework and more. And it comes with 3 months of free in with HP+ activation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Zara3 from The Perfect Family-Friendly Printer for Speed and The HP Envy 6152e is an exceptional printer, particularly well-suited for families, especially those with kids who need quick and reliable printing. Since purchasing this printer, it has exceeded my expectations in terms of speed, ease of use, and print quality. One of the standout features of the HP Envy 6152e is its ability to handle a variety of printing tasks with remarkable efficiency. Whether you're printing school assignments, colorful projects, or even creative activities like coloring pages, this printer delivers consistent results. The setup process was straightforward, and the printer connected seamlessly to both Wi-Fi and my devices, making it convenient to use from anywhere in the house. The print speed is impressive, ensuring you don’t have to wait long for your documents or photos. This is particularly helpful in a busy household where time is of the essence. The quality of prints is excellent, producing sharp text and vibrant colors that meet the needs of both professional-looking documents and fun, kid-friendly prints. Another feature I appreciate is the Instant Ink subscription. It eliminates the stress of running out of ink unexpectedly by automatically ordering refills when your levels are low. This has been a lifesaver in keeping up with my family’s frequent printing demands. Plus, the cost-effectiveness of the plan makes it a practical choice for families on a budget. The printer’s compact design is also a bonus—it doesn’t take up much space, making it ideal for a home office or shared family area. It's not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing, fitting well into any room's decor. Overall, the HP Envy 6152e has been a reliable addition to our household. It’s user-friendly, efficient, and delivers high-quality prints that cater to the diverse needs of a family. The setup was surprisingly simple, with clear instructions that made the process smooth. The wireless connectivity was a standout feature for me, allowing easy printing from my phone and laptop without the hassle of cords. The print quality is excellent for both documents and photos, with vibrant colors and sharp text that exceeded my expectations. One aspect that was particularly important to me was noise level, and I was pleased to find the printer operates quietly, which is perfect for maintaining a peaceful work environment. Overall, the HP 6152E offers a user-friendly experience with impressive performance, making it a great choice for beginners and anyone looking for a reliable home printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by gioab from Versatile printer with amazing photo prints My husband put the printer through his tests and loves what it can do and the tech side pros for it, but for me this printer made me remember how great physical photos are since we do so much photo posting online. We have rabbits and sugar gliders and a few month ago had some of our sugar gliders pass. It's been rough but we wanted to put pictures of them all over and the HP Envy 6152e made that possible. The quality of the photo prints is perfect. The color, clarity, and sharpness of the photos is just like developed film. I've printed so many pictures and now need one of those frames that has places for them all! The only issue I had was not with the printer but the app used to print things. I have so many photos on my phone and how you select them. I had to add the photos I wanted to favorites on my image gallery of the phone itself for the printer app to be able to find them more easily, otherwise you kind of have to scrolls through thousands of photos to find things. Once you favorite them though, the app displays them in their own album on the apps and all the ones you've selected show there. Once you've mastered that though, time to get ready to print perfect photos! I would recommend this printer for households that like to print photos and need to do one off printing from their mobile devices. It's easy to send things right from the phone to the printer and print them. This includes photo, documents, etc. It's so easy and convient and the printer doesn't need to be physically attached to anything to get printing. It's a great printer for families on the go and anyone who needs needs quick access to print something real quick!

Ease of use is simpler, print quality is similar, ink consumption seems thirstier. Like the smaller footprint, paper tray and paper feed seem to operate more smoothly, ink cartridges seem to snap in better. Printing 5x7 blank cards presented no problems. Very satisfied and would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kayymlyons from Amazing home printer! I really love my HP Envy 6152e!! This printer is a life saver! I’m a mom of 4, so I needed something quick and efficient to be able to keep up with our crazy schedules. This is exactly that! Awesome print quality and speed, and the setup was quick and easy. Whether I'm printing documents, homework, or photos, the results are consistently sharp and vibrant. My kids also love the coloring sheets and printables that are on the HP app. I was a little skeptical about the ink subscription service at first, but I absolutely love it! The printer alerts HP to send you more ink once the cartridge reaches a certain level. That’s one less thing for me to have to remember! I have already highly recommended this printer to my family and friends, and I plan on gifting one for Christmas as well. Can’t wait to see what else my printer will do to make my busy life easier!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cheffaz from Quick print This printer is only 1/3 the size of my giant 1990s printer and functions just as quickly and almost as diversely. It covers 95% of that with cloud Internet and wireless service without the need for a dongle or trailing wires. It also has only one USB connection. The real heart of the newest HP printers is a program called HPsmart, which is a superb cloud-based Internet solution for all the capabilities that in the past required hardware alternatives in order to replicate these services. This adds significantly to the value of a printer beyond just being a tool for printing. My HPsmart app was already loaded, thus installation was a breeze. This app is accessible on phones, laptops, desktops, and, I assume, Macs. Since it is web-based, I'm pretty sure that it can be used on Linux systems as well as Amigas. This is far better than the required drivers to interface with all the unique hardware components that my old printer had, which are not readily available today. I used that 1990s printer for decades while running a five-person private business, and it was fantastic for personal usage. This printer, which comes from HP, an engineering company, claims to last me another 25 to 30 years. Black and white printouts show the same speed and quality, so it's good enough for a small business Most of my grievances are so little and pointless in the modern world. While the Envy's scanning is enough for most online auctions, it is not 3D capable. Additionally, the old printer's seven color cartridges ran out slower than the HP color cartridge, and HP appears to be less decisive of negative and positive scans. Color uses more ink than older printer, 40–50 pages of high-resolution vs using 1/4 of the color ink cartridge for three HP prints. However it’s the best I’ve seen in over a decade that fits into most people's budget.

Rated 4 out of 5 by HERjr from Good printer for the money I bought this printer for use while I am away from home. It is small enough to fit my requirements and does a good job for money. The first one I bought; the print cartridge carriage was locked up and it was a pain to get through the exchange process. I eventually got my replacement printer and am happy with it for the most part. Occasionally it does not print my documents but shutting it off and back on usually corrects the issue. This does not happen all the time just occasionally. I think this is a good printer for the money and if I had to do it over, I would buy the same printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ducksri from Reliable Printer The HP Envy 6152e is a simple no fuss printer that allows to print really sharp images. Typically, Printers have 4 cartridges, but this is designed to only have two, a black and a RGB tri-color cartridge, which I am honestly not sure is a good choice, I am divided. Typically, in the past, I have had times when a single color cartridge had to be replaced, but lately, almost all my jobs need more color, and if the cartridge is very low typically, I am replacing all 3 colors, as photo prints would otherwise be compromised. In a manner of speaking, I think that a good option. I did notice that the printer can be connected via USB, in addition to via WIFI, which has been a savior for me in the past, literally helping me get work done, instead pf troubleshooting say Guest Wifi and it's connectivity to my printer, in the even we were say buying a ticket or needed somethign from a guest printed. Additional print options are always welcome

Rated 5 out of 5 by AzTester from Great Printer Our house has multiple students and teachers who do a lot of printing. We have purchased multiple printers in the past few years that have had issues with ink ports becoming blocked, using up ink too quickly, paper feed issues as well as inconsistent printing. I can tell with this HP Envy system that it appears to be a much better system. It was easy to install and recognize using our multiple devices. It can easily do back to back printing as well as produce a great quality print with vibrant colors and details very quickly. The paper feed has worked flawlessly and we are still printing away using our initial print cartridges. We have looked up the availability and cost of replacement cartridges and they are common and available at most stores that sell business supplies as well as from amazon at a cost similar to other printer cartridges. So far the HP Envy 6152e printer has been a great reliable printer for our regular home usage due to its ease of setup, high quality prints and because it is easy to maintain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FaithHope1958 from Easy enough for seniors to set up and use I’m 67 and replaced my old chunky HP printer at home with this new sleek and space saving printer HP Envy 6152e. It includes the quick set up guide and 2 free ink cartridges- a black and a tricolor one. Initially I had a little difficulty inserting the tricolor cartridge but once it was in I faced no other challenges. The selection for copying and scanning is clear in the window and it was easy to follow. Pages came out smoothly and the ink was nice and bold on the print. I am very happy and think the printer fits all my needs of ease of use without stressing me out without too many steps. Also you get 3 months of free ink if you subscribe to the Instant Ink enrollment plan- great deal! Can’t wait to send out my long Christmas letters with its help this year!

Printer itself was very light and it doesn't take up a lot of space in the room which is a huge plus. Connectivity has been great and printing from either my PC or my phone have been very easy to work with. Rated 5 out of 5 by Jazzyjuggz10 from Quick and easy to setup and use I think this HP Envy printer is pretty awesome, every year they just keep coming out with better versions and the app is really easy to use and figure out. The printer updated right away when I was setting it up, and I printed a photo to test it out. It did print with a border I noticed, so will have to play around more with that, but still amazing quality and honestly a gorgeous printer for the office. The touch screen is a good size. Installing the ink cartridges was quick as well. I would definitely recommend this printer as it’s very user friendly, and prints quickly with no jamming issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Krissybamboo from Very user friendly! Easy set-up! Having a family of 3, including a 4 year old, we have found this all in one printer lives up to its name! My little girl has loved picking out free coloring pages for us to print for her to color! My fiance uses it for forms he needs to print for work and I use it for crochet patterns mostly. We all love the photo feature printing on both sides I've never had a product that did that before. At first I was unsure about using the HP instant ink, not a fan of subscriptions. However, this one is really cold because it's not based on every certain number of months, it's based on when your ink it's too low enough level it notifies them to send you more ink. For me that's a big plus because I don't like having things pile up when I don't need another order yet and spending unnecessary money. I really like the small size as you can see my photo it's it's not a whole lot bigger than a shoe boxes as far as the space it takes up! We don't have an actual office room in our home so it's been a big positive that it's easy to set up anywhere. I would definitely recommend this to friends and would probably gift a couple family members on this year.

The manual was simple to read and setup took me less than 15 minutes. The printer is space efficient and easily fits on my desk edge. Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Small Sleek, and Precise Printer I have a couple of printers, but decided to add this into the arsenal. I have an HP architectural plotter, another branded Office all in one, that's more for commercial fast prints, and more of an economical ink saving printer. I bought the HP Envy 6152e to print photos, and for more precision printing. I was surprised to see how small of a footprint it came in, and was immediately thinking maybe the performance might not be as robust. I was wrong with the first impression. Don't judge a book by it's cover. It looks incredibly sleek and has a small footprint, which is great, but does not sacrifice in performance. I printed some photos, the color was great and of really high quality. There was a substantial drying time, but not to the point that the ink ran, which means there was very good print ink control on this. I'm very happy with this aspect, as that's what I really wanted to use this printer for. I added it to my home office, versus the regular office, and am happy with how it sits and have used it to print quick fire documents. The print quality is sharp and the time it takes to print is pretty good too. I don't have an indication as to how efficient on ink it is, but seems to be solid in this regard also. Overall, I'm really happy with how much I've used the HP Envy 6152e so far.

The installation was a breeze and took just a few minutes. Just a few clicks on my phone using the Bluetooth option and printed my first print which was a colorful photo as seen in this review. It printed quick. Especially being a photo. Shows every detail that was captured. And that was just printed on plain paper. Can’t wait to print more of my favorite pictures on photo paper. You can set it to auto shut off which is a great feature. I created a new work space for my crafting projects and it adds to the finishing touches. Definitely recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by williamsk14 from Great Affordable Duplex Printer! I love the HP Envy 6152e printer! I have never owned an HP printer before and now I wish I had gotten one sooner! I love how compact it is so it doesn’t take up much space in my small home. I’m not the most tech-savvy person out there but set-up was so quick and easy. It doesn’t print super fast (black is up to 9 pages a minute and color is about 6 pages a minute) but that’s not an issue for me and my needs. Prints come out crisp and vibrant. I’ve really been enjoying printing out photos instead of having to go to Staples or somewhere else to get them. I also love that I can monitor my usage in the app and it lets me know when I’m getting low on ink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gaylet416 from Awesome Printer The HP 6152e printer is a great printer. I have always loved the Envy line. Printer is user friendly and easy to setup. It's compact in size printer, I did not need document feeder. I needed a 2nd printer that was not bulky and could tuck away on a shelf and not stand out. It is quiet while printing, quietest I've ever had. Great print quality and awesome resolution on pictures, I used HP paper and photo paper. Would definitely recommend for office, personal use, family sharing, of course wireless printing is a a big plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cleighud from Great compact printer and scanner combo! I've been looking for a nice compact printer that scans in good quality, and fits nicely on my shelf for quite a while. This HP 6152e fits the bill! The printer is attractive and looks nice, with the touchscreen being easily readable. This is the first printer that I've set up via wireless connection, and set up went incredibly smoothly following the directions and using the HP Smart app. I'm even able to print from my work computer that I'm accessing via VPN. Printing is a bit slower than some prior printers, but it's fast enough for my use - and I like that it has double-sided printing built in. Scanning works as expected as well, with great quality scans up to 1200dpi - perfect for the old photos I'm scanning in from the 1950s. This printer gives you a free trial of(and strongly steers you towards) the HP Ink subscription service. This monitors your ink usage, and mails you your next cartridges when you need them. You subscribe based on your pages/month you expect to print. I find it to be quite convenient, and cartridges are so expensive now that I think the cost largely breaks even. All in all I'm very happy with this printer, and would recommend it to anyone looking for printer/scanner who finds HP Ink to be useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JasiNicks from Timely set up but works great! Taking the printer out and learning how to insert the ink was pretty easy! I will say to actually set up the printer (downloading the software, making an account, calibrating the printer, etc) took me about 30-45 minutes and I would say if you're not technologically advance to have someone to assist you. But after set up, the printer works well and the colors show up well too! The scanner is also a lifesaver since I did not have to spend money buying a scanner separately. The price point is also not too bad for the features it includes. I also think the printer looks nice, plain and white so it is suitable for any home. I included a picture so you can see what the printer itself looks like and also the quality of the printing.

Hello, Can I use this printer to print, scan, and copy wirelessly without access to a WiFi network? I need to be able to use this wirelessly with a phone or computer, and can not guarantee internet access.

Asked by: Wirelessnowifi
Hello. Thanks for your question. You can use WiFi Direct. WiFi Direct lets you print directly from your device to an HP printer without needing a router. The printer creates its own Wi-Fi network that your device connects to, allowing you to send print jobs directly. You will also be able to scan.

The one thing I couldn't stand when I got the HP Envy 6055 was that I couldn't place paper on the printer and scan it, I had to scan with my iPad camera. That was VERY frustrating. With this printer, can I just hit 'scan' on the printer?

Asked by: BDC1
Thank you for your question! You can scan by using the touchscreen on this HP Envy 6155e. The printer has a 2.4" color touchscreen that allows you to navigate print jobs. To scan, you can touch Scan on the control panel. You can also scan using the HP Smart app, which allows you to scan from your mobile device or the printer. Once scanned, you can store the document on your device, email it, or upload it to cloud storage.
