Rated 3 out of 5 by OMthe from Beautiful but be aware of hardware restrictions HP has set for Memory and SSD’s I really want to love this beautiful machine, but the hardware limitations are insane. Had I known that it’s incompatible with most DDR5 memory, (HP doesn’t even sell it, apparently), it refuses to recognize some common SSD’s I probably would not have purchased it. In the specs and on the website, the 16GB version was the only one for sale, but it listed 128GB capable using DDR5 SODIMM 5600Mhz standard laptop memory so I figured adding memory to get it up to what I would be needing wouldn’t be a challenge. Crucial, Kingston and every other brand of industry standard DDR5 SODIMM trigger a failure to boot stating that “only authorized memory” was to be used. I couldn’t actually find compatible memory on HP’s site to purchase other than an out of stock listing for 3 times anyone else’s price (and it didn’t specifically state it was compatible). After doing some research I found that the only brands anyone seems to find that work are “SK Hynix” (the same brand as the 2 existing 8GB sticks) and Samsung. The prices for both at 32GB or above are absolutely ridiculous. Spending more than $500 on a brand new machine just to get it to 64GB is just price gouging when mainstream manufacturers have it for sale with completely identical specs at half the cost. I had similar issues adding a second SSD but was lucky enough to have one that worked but 2 different brands that work fine on my other systems. No idea why. The 34” screen is beautiful and very high definition, the mouse and keyboard that came with are fine, although the mouse is so lightweight it’s hard for me to get used to. It feels flimsy, unlike the solid well built computer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OregonGirl from Beautiful machine! Love this AIO. Got hooked on an AIO with my last HP one. If I could choose a screen size, it would be less than this 34" one, but it is beautiful resolution - and I no longer need computer glasses so that's a silver lining. I'm slightly disappointed with the screen by screen set up process; it 'adds' OneDrive first to every thing you set up. When I have time, I need to go in a redo that as I don't want all my 'stuff' on OneDrive. Love the new location of USB plug ports (on the stand instead of the back of the screen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from It's a large screen all in one that works great but not a touch screen like previous Envoys! Great "ALL IN ONE" by HP. I few ideas that I wish they did. First, the screen is no longer "touchable" but now just a screen, so from the previous Envoy 27" I used to use it a lot and now I can't. The mouse is slow and not great, so I just adjusted the settings and it's now much better. Other than those few suggestions, it's a great computer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Paul V. in Boston from Great machine. Not perfect, but not far from it either! The PC is excellent. The ability to customize the configuration was huge. This is replacing a high-end business desktop, and it has done so nicely. Powerful, EXCELLENT, bright and sharp screen. Performance is not gaming desktop, but right up there. Only issues: 1) it runs hot and the fan revs quite a bit. The fan is not all that quiet. 2) the convenient Qi charging station on the base of the computer works well, but you have to work too much to find the sweet spot for charging. It should be like Apple's MagSafe. It would then be a home run. My only other wish was that it had a curved screen. My previous monitor was a 34" widescreen LG curved - and that really was helpful. It's ok not having it on this computer, but it would be AMAZING with a curved screen. I'm impressed that the bloatware is not out of control like it is with other vendors. The HP Support Assistant is actually quite simple and provides helpful information. If I were to grade this machine, I would give it an A-, but a high A-.

I highly recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sleepy-c from Great Hardware, support is lacking. The Computer is awesome! it is well put together and thought out, with generous amounts of usb ports. It is fast quiet and a great upgrade. The support on the other hand is mediocre to terrible. I realize and appreciate that HP does not owe me support on 3rd party hardware, but a memory upgrade, when the latest firmware is to address issues with 3rd party memory upgrades seems to fit the bill of something you might be interested in. Their response is to buy it from HP. The same 16gb upgrade that costs $30 elsewhere costs $548 at HP. So not really a reasonable suggestion on a $1500 computer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by einstein27 from Miss certain features of the older Envy version This is my second HP Envy 34". I replaced the original after seven years with no issues and it is still running great--would give it 5 stars. Figure though after that long it is not "if" but "when" I begin to have issues, hence I purchased the new one to avoid potential future problems and stay up to date with technology. The HP Envy All in One has been a very reliable product for me. It is used for work and I maintain a paperless office and use numerous office productivity software on it. I miss the curved screen of my original Envy; I miss the sound control ring that was easy to access on the base and the retractable camera. The high resolution of the new Envy version cannot accommodate some of the older games I have played and I had to purchase a new Brother MFD because I could not get a driver compatible with Windows 11. Not HPs fault but since working with it, I'm not a fan of Windows 11. Also I don't appreciate all the pre-installed bloatware and had to spend considerable time eliminating or turning off several apps and features I did not want or use. Am hoping this new Envy proves to be as reliable as my older version.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ColbyNYC from Solid w/Great Customization Options Just works, right out the box. Great webcam, although cant find a way to have it zoom in more just on my face versus my surroundings. Sound is adequate but not great. Not sure about the screen format, although it is wide, it is very narrow top to bottom, so I dont find myself doing things side by side. Looks amazing/impressive, low glare. Great that you can customize.

Rated 4 out of 5 by alckms from How it works so far. The computer is easy to set up, and has a bright, clear screen. The format of a wide screen in an all-in-one configuration really works well for a home office desk where components are neatly placed in a central location. HP doesn't clutter the computer with much bloatware, and the HP assistant itself works well to keep the system clean and updated. I was up and running in a half hour and the system is working smoothly and quickly. I would purchase again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Norseman from Very nice, but... Great looking desktop, plenty of ports. But, so far it seems to be slower than my 6-yr old Dell XPS w/the same amt of RAM. Perhaps Windows 11 is slower than my Windows 10 Pro was!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Genevieve D. from Work-from-home productivity game changer I work from home and have been using a laptop. When I worked in an office a few years ago, I had an HP and two 22” screens on adjustable monitor arms. The tiny screen on my laptop was driving me crazy and this 34” screen has really increased my productivity. I was always a Mac user for my personal computers because I thought Mac would be the best product, but I was disappointed in how my Mac AIO desktop failed after very light usage and I never really liked using it for some reason. I also like the wide screen aspect ratio of the HP as opposed to the aspect ratio of the 27” or 22” Mac screens. I think this HP outperforms Mac. The speaker system is excellent and the sleek design looks really clean and minimal. I ordered a different keyboard and mouse - the mouse it comes with feels pretty cheap but keyboard has a decent feel. The camera it comes with is nice and I like the facial recognition feature for signing in and the magnetic docking at different points on the top edge of the screen. In general so far, I love this computer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by PBMGR from Overall Good in 2 weeks of use Display and computer hardware are excellent 5/5 except enclosed mouse would be rated 3/5; Keyboard and speakers 4/5. HP support is rated 2/5 or less, very unhelpful and uncommunicative. Tax exempt department completely unresponsive/uncommunicative, so far 0/5. HP needs to up its' game!
