Rated 4 out of 5 by PES New Computer from PC Review This desktop PC is blinding fast compared to my old HP desktop. I love the way it performs. One thing that I wish was included with the purchase were detailed instructions on how to completely transfer files from the old hard drive to the new computer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by CHH1111 from Pricy Not convinced that the price justifies the product. But it meets my needs. I would have appreciated 2 more USB ports. The button to turn the computer is small which makes it a little difficult to turn it on. A bad experience when I received an email informing me that the computer was finished early and that it was shipped. A tracking number was provided. The day after receiving the email I tracked the shipment and FedEx replied that they had didn’t recognize a shipment with that tracking number. I contacted HP who couldn’t verify that the computer was shipped or the email that I received. They blamed it on a glitch. I couldn’t believe that HP could have such a “glitch” in their system. Eventually I did receive my computer and am satisfied with it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Johannes1 from Shipping is part of the order. Unfortunately, shipping is part of the order. I am very satisfied with this computer; I was appalled by the shipping of the product. I received details about delivery via emails and Fedex did not honor those details twice. Under difficult circumstances, I made twice time-consuming arrangements in vain. Eventually, my rather expensive computer was left on my front porch (for everybody to see) for hours. I am still waiting for a response from HP.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Laptop 4 from Desktop PC Review (Get your act together, it is not a laptop.) OK, you asked for it. 1. the wireless mouse and keyboard were crap. I threw them in the trash and went out and bought Logitech. The were half the price. 2. The sound quality leaves a lot to be desired. When watching streaming video, there is too much bass it the sound. It makes it hard for me to understand all of the dialog. The music is not bad, I can adjust the bass in the music software. 3. Of course there was no CD/RW player available, nor there any speakers. Difficult to listen to music without them. My biggest problem is with Windows 11. I have two computers with a home network for them to communicate. Win 11 dose not support pear to pear communication with each other. This is a real pain in the rear because of the way I use my computers. I also hate their new media player. It is very confusing. I have tried VLC but it is just as bad. I think that's about it. Will my new desktop run Win 7?

Rated 3 out of 5 by R Cooper from Functionality of computer Functionality of HP Envy Desktop TE01-4000 PC Is standard with the industry. In selecting this system I spoke with a sales person. I expressed needs and this was the recommendation. I did not realize it did not have a DVD drive and is limited on internal storage space that I need. I learned not to trust sales people with this purchase. I blame myself for not being more observant. In the future any purchase will be different.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GrdDog from Awesome little desktop Had to replace a desktop after a lighting strike and chose this desktop unit. After I debloated the computer; I got this unit down to 60 processes and it turned into a little blazing fast desktop unit that surprised me. I added 2 things to this unit; a 1TB SSD for extra storage and a little 1050ti GPU I had. This is used for the basic things and playing a few games (which are surprisingly smooth; with the edition of a GPU) such as world of warcraft (I'm averaging 120 fps). The one thing that I DO NOT LIKE about the HP design is the "breakaway" panels in the back; that is dangerous and sharp when adding a video card, a very bad part of the design. Otherwise if I catch this unit on sale again will I buy one; answer is YES.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Outdoors from Just what I wanted Just what I wanted. I do a lot of photos, so I needed a unit with lots of space and a good amount of speed. This one fits the bill very well. I was able to configure it to my needs rather than use one that might be hit or miss on some components. Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by billssr from Thanks for solving my problem. My old computer had a problem that apparently no one could fix, so... I got a new one. So far my only problem is that I forgot to check the storage capacity and ended up with a smaller capacity that I had. So could not store some of my data there. Otherwise, I am very happy with my new computer without any stupid problems. I am finally getting used to the new keyboard. I had the same keyboard on my last 3 computers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bobby46 from Pleased to Replace Old HP Pavilion I replaced my HP Pavilion running Windows 10 from 10 years. I did not realize how sluggish the old system had become over time -- booting up from power off took about 5 minutes. I am very happy with the start up time and performance with the new HP Envy running Windows 11 -- it actually boots up now in about 20 seconds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by J. Popp from I'm satisfied. The HP Envy does everything I expected very well. In the future please consider lighter colors for the Envy, colors that contrast with the front ports and make them easier to see. Granted, I'm 73 years old. Black may be stylish but it's boring and hard to see. I was pleased too with the relatively short delivery time.

It does everything I need it to do and more. The huge discount on the price was also a plus. I couldn’t be happier. I certainly would recommend hp computers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gabbgul from Perfect home or business desktop for the non-gamer with existing upgrade options Desktop arrived a day ahead of schedule. Setup was a breeze. Utilized upgrade options for a 14th gen i5, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 500GB gen4 M.2 SSD for $800 total, and it will make a zippy business computer with plenty of storage for a family friend that should last for years. Would've liked an HDMI cord with it, but not enough to remove a star for it being absent. My fourth HP computer purchased in the last decade, two HP Envy Desktops, one Gaming Pavillion laptop, and one All-in-One. Keep up the good work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Susanna707 from Another HP Envy Average PC. This is the second Envy that I have owned, I thought this one would have a lot better performance, but it doesn't. Refresh is slower than I would like. Buying the product without upgrades doesn't have nearly enough memory for me. This makes video editing difficult or impossible. This is a mid grade PC, but the price is high compared to what you get.

If you place a computer in your shopping cart the price may change if you wait a few days to purchase it. Also I custom built my pc and wanted DDR 5 memory but they only offered DDR4. Not as many choices to custom build as Dell. Other than that no other complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rob-H from Good Value in a Productivity PC I purchased this PC to replace an ailing HP Omen i5 I use for productivity and digital slideshow creation. Given the Envy is an modern i7 with 2x the system memory, 1.5x the dedicated graphic memory, and a 1/2 TB SSD, the improvement is amazing. Using the SSD for software and as the scratch disk speeds up startup and program execution. The included 1 TB HDD for data storage assures I'll have plenty of room on the PC data storage. With 9 USB ports, WiFi-6, Bluetooth, and a LAN port, there is plenty of connectivity available. The one thing I find disappointing is PC and display card makers often include a single HDMI connector alongside three DisplayPort connectors. DisplayPort offers performance advantages when playing games or streaming and while some monitors have a DisplayPort connector, many monitors only include VGA and HDMI inputs. This PC is marketed the home productivity market, not the gaming market. There are 4 video outputs on the included Nvidia card, one HDMI and 3 DisplayPort. To use a second monitor with HDMI you will need to use a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. Like almost all new PCs, there is no CD/DVD drive and no opening in the case front to install one. I have connected a Blu-ray writer via USB with excellent results. The PC bundle included a wireless (USB dongle) keyboard and mouse. The keyboard has a small form factor with "chiclet" keys. No documentation is provided to explain the symbols on the numerous function keys, nor can it be located on the HP site. The mouse is, well, not so hot. You have to pry off the entire top of the mouse to install the batteries, it doesn't fit my hand very well and feels cheap. I replaced it with another wireless keyboard and mouse that provides a better user experience. Finally, there are several expansion slots including room for another internal drive provided in a case that is considerably smaller than the HP Omen. There is lots of room for you to upgrade the PS's capability. I ordered this PC directly from HP along with two monitors to replace my entire home office setup. HP provided free, standard shipping and all of the products arrived within 3 days of the order confirmation. Great customer service.

It has plenty of USB ports, although it is a bit challenging to identify which have upgraded capability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ECYaw from Up and running again. I was replacing my eleven year old HP Envy desktop that died during a series of intermitten power failures. The hard drives were ok but the motherboard was fried. Was able to set up the new desktop easily even though I was unfamiliar with Windows 11. Having so many USB ports on both the front and back of the new PC made connection of peripherals easy. I was able to restore all of my data from the hard drives I pulled from my old desktop as well as an external backup hard drive. I scavenged the DVD/Bluray drive and connected it externally to the new PC since this model has no DVD drive. I have added a UPS battery to my configuration to keep power outages from causing problems. The new PC is faster and slightly smaller than my last unit. It is a pleasure to use.

Anyone else having an issue with WIFI being unstable? My new system is intermittently dropping the connection. Have spent hours with HP support and looking at 2-3 days to get a repair box to repair then 8-10 days to repair then return to me. Not cool!

Asked by: Corey S
I have exactly the same problem. I returned the computer and the problem is still there. At this point HP cannot say they are not aware of the problem. Keep selling this computer would be clearly not the right thing to do… The right thing to do would be to stop selling it until making sure the problem is solved and contact people that bought it to give a refund and/or offer another alternative, though not sure if want another HP unreliable computer.
