Purchasing Instant Ink Gift Cards
The Instant Ink Gift Card is the only way I can pay for Instant Ink. If it were not available, I would have to quit Instant Ink. It would be an improvement if you had a short cut which would take me directly to a link that would be able to purchase the gift card without the usual half hour+ of phone calls talking to 2 or 3 different people just to purchase the Instant Ink gift card.

Difficulty in getting the instant ink actually. When setting up the instant ink, we had to use HP's assistance since the computer needed to be cleaned up first. When we got it up and running, we had only two months of free ink when three months were what had been specified in the purchase. The additional 4th month was actually never sent. I had to spend several hours on the phone with Customer Service to actually get the 4th month posted to the instant ink account. I never did physically receive the card. But Rachel in Customer Service did a great job investigating what happened and getting me the credit

HP Instant Ink Customer Service is unresponsive
I purchased a HP OfficeJet 8135e All in One printer as a replacement for a HP printer that had recently failed. The purchase included a 3 month free trial of their Instant Ink service. I installed the printer and started the ink service 2 weeks before leaving my summer residence for 7 months. When I called to PAUSE the ink service (an email I received shortly after installing the service promised "pause your service anytime") I was told it was NOT POSSIBLE to pause a free trial. This doesn't seem right. If I had known I couldn't pause the service before I installed the printer, I would have waited until I returned to my summer residence in June 2025 to do the install. HP Customer Support was totally unsympathetic to my concern even after speaking to a supervisor. I also escalated this issue and after 2 days was given the same response, NOT POSSIBLE to pause a free trial. Well, how about offering me a second free trial since I couldn't use the first one for more than 2 weeks? That would have been the appropriate response!

In my opinion HP oversells this. I don't use it since I really print less than 10 pages per month except at tax time when I might print 50. This service seems overkill and more of a nuisance to manage yet another subscription for my home printing needs. I tend to use the scanner much more.

You can do it through the HP Smart app by clicking your account and looking on the overview there. You can also do it on the Instant Ink website by signing in https://instantink.hpconnected.com/us/en/l/v2 and looking at your account. The number to the Instant Ink support team is also on there and you can contact them to help change it.
