The laptop is NOT like the picture. It does not have the side number pad. No where on the page does the description say it is not as the picture looks. And there is no return. Customer service is not helpful. And doesn’t speak clear English. I was NOT happy.

Accessing the Desktop when multiple file are open.
Hiding the Show Desktop button in the extreme lower right corner is jut DUMB.
My last HP laptop was far better when a right click anywhere on the toolbar brought up the command. Fix it!

Wife likes it.
I bought this laptop for my wife to replace the one she has had for a few years. I got it in blue because it is her favorite color. The black keyboard is so much easier to read than the silver one was. She mostly surfs the internet, and uses Facebook along with Skype. The base model meets her needs perfectly, and the improved battery life with faster charging is a plus. I am the one in the house that takes care of maintenance and repairs of the computers, and am happy that I can easily download a user and service manual. First thing I did was remove the bottom cover, and discovered that I don't have to remove the foot strips to access the screws anymore! I also like to loosen the hinges a touch to help prevent future seizing, and was pleased with the new hinge design that allows adjustment without having to remove the display to access the hinge nuts. I currently own the 17" version of this base laptop with the Ryzen 3 processor, and have been pleased with what I got for the price I paid.

Very nice laptop as well as advertised but keyboard lay out seemed weak..battery is good...wifi is ok...sounds is fine. I gave it a 4.5 star and recommand it to others

Windows 11 forces users to comply with cloud policies.......
Laptop is just as I ordered. the windows 11 software will not interface with my excel 2007 files. i have lost some improvements to those files due to windows wanting me to upgrade all my stuff to the cloud. i know this is not an HP problem, but I would pay dearly for a laptop that would embrace my office 2007 suite.

the only issue that i have with it is the battery life isnt super long and i typically have to plug it in every night but everything else runs amazing. the extra storage and backlit keyboard is absolutely worth the extra money!
