It's ok.
Functionally, it is a standard Windows laptop. It is relatively quick. It looks and feels nice. The build and screen quality is good. I have to dock it a star for two reasons. One, the battery life should be a lot better for a $1,000 laptop. Two, maybe it could be better out of the box without all of the bloatware. I understand HP and Microsoft and every other company that paid to have their crap on there want you to use it, but if I really wanted a food delivery app, I would download it myself. I spent a good 2 hours removing this junk and changing the settings to be more privacy friendly. Also, if I had known that Microsoft was going to force me to have an account to do the initial setup (as is now standard with all Windows computers), I would have bought a Mac.

I was disappointed with my purchase
This review is no hate to HP products or HP, its just my personality opinion/critism on this specific laptop model. I felt like this was a $400 computer and being sold for $1100. I had bought it for around $800 because it was on sale for $300 off, and the specs aren't bad because it runs with intel core i7, 16 gb of ram, and the screen quality isn't bad either because its intel irisX. Although it has a poor rough plasticky exterior that could be best be compared to a cheaper laptop. Functionality wise, an average person would do well with this laptop especially if they're doing general schoolwork and don't find a lot of usage in an overly good computer. However, for me where my entire education, work and some hobbies revolve around me being in the tech industry it matters for me. Even though its not my best recommendation, if you do want a normal laptop that can handle games, it can still handle some decently well. However what makes me not recommend it is because you would have to keep it plugged in while doing so because the battery life is very short, and to make things a bit worse the charger that comes with it is very old as it is 45 watts. This means the computer takes forever to charge and doesn't charge at all if you're running any program even basic ones. It's also kind of noisy even if its only running simply google chrome or MS Word. Most decent chargers to run laptops in 2024 use 65 watts. Also as a side note it doesn't use type c (computer chargers), the type c port doesn't charge the computer, so if you have a type c (computer charger) that you think could charge it, it would not work. Overall I wouldn't recommend this laptop because despite the interior of the laptop not being that bad the poor exterior counteracts this, it's overpriced for what you're getting and I was disappointed with my purchase. I still love hp products despite this, but I felt like it was fair to give an overview on what I thought about this specific laptop after having it for almost 30 days.

Everything I want nothing I don't
I sent back an overheating Dell and bought this instead to replace an outdated HP that I'd had for years. I chose NOT to have a touch screen; other than that, I got the basics because I don't ask a lot from my laptop. I'm pleased with the white cover, with the construction, with the weight, and with the style. I think the power button is in an odd place and I wish it was either set apart from the other keys or in a more obvious place than between the delete key and the PRT SC key (whatever that is). The other thing I'm having trouble adjusting to is the pad at the bottom that doesn't have distinct right and left click bars. Sometimes that's hard for me to work with. I realize this design is on every laptop now, but although it may be more aesthetically appealing, it's awkward to work with. Sometimes I have to refresh a page more than once to get it to load correctly, or load at all. I don't know if that's the laptop or the server or browser or what. I found it easy to set up and navigate. I love the backlit keyboard. Best of all, it doesn't overheat. My Dell was aluminum and that's probably why. This HP is plastic, but it doesn't look or feel like it. Battery life is pretty good. Overall, I'm happy with my choice and if you want a laptop for web browsing, email/FB, YouTube, and an occasional game of Solitaire, this is a solid option.

Okay
This computer is such a nice upgrade from my previous Hp Notebook (that was getting to be around 7 years old!). I did upgrade my computer have 512 GB of storage because I take a lot of pictures! I know if I would have stayed with the standard 256 GB that my storage would be all used up after transferring my documents and pictures from my other computer to this one. The upgraded storage is so nice to have! The speed is super nice, and it works great. Some issues I have with this laptop is that the fan is a little loud. I don't know if it's because it's overheating or what (yes, I do work with it in my lap, but it also becomes loud when working on a table with proper air flow), but it makes me a little nervous. Another thing that does irk me a little is that the battery life isn't that great. Sure, the battery lasts about 4-5 hours depending on what you're doing, which is great! But I'll have it all charged up and then shut it down and when I turn it back on my battery is already a quarter dead. I've looked online and this seems to be a common issue with fast boot up or something related to that, but I can't figure out how to fix it. I also bought the warranty for 3 years and am unable to install it on my computer, so that really bugs me. Apart from those issues, I have run into other small issues, but those are more my preferences than actual issues. I thought that the laptop was super easy to set up. Having already had an Hp product, it was super easy for me to just sign into my Microsoft account on my new computer and have all my web bookmarks transferred over. Overall, this is a good laptop for home users!

Check the graphic card matches what you ordered
Computer package ordered was supposed to have intel ARC graphics card, wound up with intel graphics. Wanted to talk to a live person to discuss exchange or question quality control (if it's part of package, how come someone didn't notice this downgrade before it was shipped), but after 5 hours trying to get a live customer support person, I finally gave up and wound up having to do the live chat. In the chat, there was a glitch where the chat box wouldn't let me type without re-clicking on the chat tab after EACH letter. Had to open a word document and copy/ paste from there using ctrl + V shortcut. Since my purchase was within the 30 day window, I'm able to return it for a refund, but the overly complicated process will cost the company because I won't reorder a laptop from them, as I don't trust them. I'm not a super tech savvy person, but someone less tech advanced might not have noticed the wrong graphics card or given up after not being able to type in the chat and not being able to get past the AI operator Holly to a live person via telephone. Any company should be able to back their product, to not offer that makes me loose faith in their product.

Powerful laptop and excellent price
Very fast Intel Core Ultra 5 processor. 14 cores and 18 threads. I love this new keyboard design with the rubbery keys. It is very solid and not flimsy like some previous HP laptops. Nice backlight too. Great 1080p screen. Laptop is not heavy. FINALLY: USB-C connector allows charging the laptop as well as screen, Ethernet and USB ports through a hub. Just plug in a single USB-C cable and everything in the office is connected. Very impressed. And I purchased it at a very competitive price.

Keep looking...not a great laptop.
This PC is barely worth the $250 I paid for it with the touchscreen option. It is certainly not worth the $450-$750 HP wants for it on a regular basis. The outside is made of two different colors of plastic that scuffs super easy. Under normal use the system gets very, very hot and it has shut down repeatedly. It also drops WIFI, Bluetooth and freezes regularly. Battery life is barely two hours under normal use.
With my background, I am able to upgrade the RAM and hard drive myself but HP can’t seem to locate the N58364-001 or 79U70AA 8GB DDR5 5600 SODIMM NECC stick in their inventory. I had high hopes for this PC with the Meteor Lake U-processor, backlit keyboard etc. but sadly it is a fail that I will just deal with until I can afford to get a different brand. I use a HP Z book at work and it required a new system board 18 months after purchase. Thankful it was under warranty.

Good laptop for the price if you score a deal
The top most shell is metal, aluminum I believe, which is better than I expected. Overall good experience with this laptop, for the price I payed at 450 in May 2024. The battery can be improved though. Get the factory memory upgrade as you won’t save much by DIY. The memory is from micron in case you need that info.

Slow, clunky monster
This is not a good computer. It's slow and huge and cheap/clunky feeling. The don't on the keys is huge. The way the creek displays is huge. You're not actually seeing more of the spreadsheet you opened, it's just gigantic. If you need large text books, this computer would be a good option. If you were getting a larger screen to widen your field of vision, look elsewhere.
