Tomorrow 's here today
This laptop is well worth the price and HP is a wonderful brand. I have a printer from 2012 that's still running smoothly. I'm not computer literate and this laptop has a lot of bells and whistles I have yet to discover. I wish I could get the hang on how to reduce the screen when it expands and I'm not sure what I did to make it do that.

HP rocks!
I strayed from h.p. once and NEVER AGAIN as they offer great tech support as well as customer service. H.P computers allow you the freedom to do whatever you want/need while others limit you. From now on, I will never stray from H.P. again!

Excellent keyboard
I buy a new hp laptop, midrange or more budget like this one, almost every year. I bought this one to keep at home for occasional use and zoom meetings. My eyesight is challenged, so I look for clarity onscreen and visible backlit keyboard keys. THESE ARE THE BEST, MOST VISIBLE KEYS OF ANY LAPTOP I HAVE OWNED (I have owned about 30 laptops total, hp, dell, acer and various chromebooks). On this hp all keys have large letters, including space, alt, CAPS, etc. Why aren’t they all made like this? Function wise, laptop works well for my light computing and online meetings. Camera (especially) and audio are very good for this. On the downside, 250 nits of screen output (if that is the correct terminology) is not enough. My other hp laptop 2in1 has 400 or 500 nits and the screen is bright, clear and crisp. This one is adequate for the amount of time I use it and the meetings but I won’t get another one with less than 400 nits. The 8gb runs the computer adequately. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase, especially for the price that I was able to get it at. If I had the choice to buy it again, I would, even at the regular price of approximately $750.

Small keyboard
The keyboard is small and shifted to the left to accommodate a full number pad on the right. If this was an option while building the device, the description of options was not clear. This makes typing uncomfortable and frustrating.

HP laptop
If I could give a -5 star, I would. My laptop came damaged, and I was on the phone for 1hr, 37 minutes getting transferred to 5 different people, and not one could help. Finally, after losing that much time from my life, after a long day at work, one woman said she would refund my money. Why would I ever want to work with a company that can't help me, if I ever had to troubleshoot. It's been a month, and I still haven't seen my refund. HP is horrible!!!

Very Good Basic Use Laptop
I selected this laptop by using the HP website. Based on the information provided, I determined that I am a basic user and this is a laptop that will meet my usage needs. I am happy with my choice. Compared to my 2012 HP that I am retiring, this laptop is crazy light, fast operating and easy to adapt to.

Solid 4
I give this laptop a solid 4 because it is a well-made laptop. Sturdy, runs well, enough ports, charges quickly, functional and comfortable for the way I use it and I am happy I purchased it. I dropped one star only because the mouse touchpad is fiddly. Once I plugged in a wireless mouse it solved the problem but I don't always sit at table or desk so when I want to use it with just the touchpad it is slightly frustrating. However, again, this is a good laptop --I have used it for well over a month now.

Okay, needs work
It's okay for the price but it has a few bugs/drawbacks. It needs more USB ports, it often rejects anything attached by USB like a wireless mouse or keyboard and a CD/DVD drive would be nice. I know they're not in huge demand but when you need one it should be there. The screen is too bright and you really can't adjust it very well.

Good for price
I bought this computer because it was a good price and i no longer need power. I use for personal office documents and streaming. Only (but major) weakness is the touchpad/mouse. I may have to click several times to put the cursor where i want. And the cursor will frequently jump to a different spot in word or exce, documents.

Almost 5 stars except for...
My former HP laptop is 11 years old & still working but not up-gradable to Windows 11. After researching HP laptops, I customized this one for my basic needs. It works ok except for:
1- Windows 11 is dumb. Microsoft has unnecessarily moved many functions around from Windows 10. It took me TOO long to customize it to what Windows 10 offered.
2- The backlit keyboard wouldn't stay lit. I called tech support. Don't expect to understand the person you get. They all have thick accents and it took a while before we finally got this resolved.
3- My backup software created a boot disk and my old HP found it just fine. HOWEVER, my new laptop wouldn't find it at all. HP support was difficult to understand and then they wanted $75 to resolve it. WHAT??? RIDICULOUS! Fortunately, my backup software company helped me fix the issue FOR NO COST!!!
Many of the negatives are not the fault of the actual laptop. Once I got past the above problems, it works GREAT so I'll give HP props for that.

Only partially functional; HP will not fix
Seems to be a decent laptop for basic web surfing. Beyond that not so great. I needed to be able to use the virtual COM ports Windows automatically sets up in the USB ports as needed. I connected a USB-to-Serial cable and Windows found and configured a COM port easily. Unfortunately, some part of the bloatware HP sticks on the machine ties up the COM ports and no other application can use them!
HP Support told me I would have to PAY them to make the COM ports work properly, so the unit is being returned. HP did accept the return request and I will be getting a full refund.

Good product, but the keyboard is uncomfortable
It's not my favorite laptop, but does the trick without glitches and it was a great price. The thing I've been finding hardest to adapt to is the keyboard. It has the number pad on the left, which is something I'm used to, but for whatever reason it feels like the alphabet keys are crammed too far left of center. The space bar is to the left of the touch pad. My right hand was constantly hitting the wrong keys until I put a few added touch points with puffy fabric paint to keep it from drifting.

HP Laptop 15-fc0047nr, Windows 11 Home
I was extremely impressed with my selection of laptop. Basically, setting up was easy. I would definitely recommend any prospective customer(s) to purchase directly from a hp store rather than other stores and/ websites. The customer service team was there from date of order to delivery stages. They ensured that as a customer, you were satisfied with the product. Hp follow up and feedback procedures are commendable. In order for Hp to meet its aims, goals and objectives to its customers, feedback plays a pivotal role in improving its service delivery capabilities.

Great Unit For The Price
This laptop has everything I need. The resolution is great and I didn't need to tweak it in anyway. Set up was easy and quick. Personalization was a breeze. Moving the taskbar from the center to the left was easily accomplished in the taskbar settings. The sound on this laptop is incredible. I don't need add on speakers. There are two USB- A/ one USB-C /HDMI are more than enough for my needs. If you need more, adding a hub is inexpensive.
This is a great entry level laptop as well as a great product for seniors such as I am who use it primarily for reading and web surfing.

my second HP
I bought this primarily for digitizing.
In other words, copy definitions of words, reread them on a big 50 inch TV.
So HEAVILY relying on the connection from computer to TV AND an external drive.
My external drive through the tiny, but powerful “c” cable.
The bad part is it’s easy to overstress the connection and ruin it.
Which I did.
Also dropping a hard drive in water for 3 seconds.
The stressed connection this computer will project to a 50 inch screen.
My watered hard drive was a disappointment, taking even longer to transfer data on a damaged drive.
However: the new 6 terabyte drives work so fast it makes my head spin (comparing it to other computers).
I hoped the greater power of a more expensive computer would solve everything.
It does solve things on a 6 terabyte hard drive.
And external 6 (I bought) DVD/CDs playing through the USB port, virtually turning things into a 5 DVD/CD changer that will play in a small space, versus the large flat version that takes up space.
I haven’t explored the more numerous and additional powers yet and only (I’m only) concentrating on the activities and the computer astonishes me with it’s speed, about 2 Xs faster than my $100 or $200 computers.
I wrote this before: my first $600 computer I put on a pedestal, even locked it in the safe and used it infrequently (I didn’t want it stolen, damaged and more) this is my second $600 computer and I do have more need for it and it’s: wow.
So fast and helpful and raises morale to study because it works the speed of my mind thinking.
No more waiting for this definition to return to the screen, which is why I bought an expansion drive.
I let myself down, it let me down, spending (I dropped it) in the water for 3 seconds.
It decrease in performance and would have missed its ending of service but, by the time this $600 computer arrived and was used for a week I found and defined the undefined word I had been looking for for 4 years, 2019 to now.
(defining “flag”,
mark (an item) for attention or treatment in a specified way.)
It is already performing my admin I used in 1990, when there were “no” computers.
This one and this time, saving space, saving trees.
(except printing my study records, which saves time and space also because I can shrink the writing and put more writing in a smaller space.)
The biggest need was and is replacing my first HP (hewlett packard) its broken touch screen lid and the computer was $340.
This one is $600.
I’ve since learned to be an even more expert keyboardist, typist or user of shortcut keys (defining some key computer terms) so I can really benefit from 40-50 years of experience, using the typewriter.
Then 4 years of the immediate past, of computer learning.

HP Work/home/school laptop
This is a great laptop to use for home/work and office. It comes preinstalled with Windows 11 so it may take getting used to for those who are still on Windows 10. I love how fast it is and it was an easy setup. It takes about 30 minutes to complete if you have an existing Microsoft account. A bit longer if you don't. The Battery life seems to last a really long time on this computer. I did notice the fan stayed on quite a while during setup but finally stopped. The laptop is really fast and I can have multiple programs running a the same time without a loss of function. The size is perfect for the business owner and the student alike. It is a very lightweight computer Just to be aware, the power button is at the top where the function keys normally are on a keyboard so you have to look for it to find it. The graphics are phenomenal! The sound is really good. l was amazed at the sound clarity in this computer. If you need a great computer for your office/home/school, don't hesitate on this one.
