Awesome laptop not so great battery
Solid computer. Runs as expected. Wanted a middle of the road laptop for some gaming and some productivity things. Runs the games I play pretty well at normal settings.
This is a 4star review because the only caveat with this computer is the battery life. It really isn't so bad when you're browsing the web, but when you happen to be playing a game (of any kind) as expected it drains the battery- way faster than you would expect. I'm talking about you got an hour or so until you better get it plugged in and charging. Still happy with the laptop, would like a little more life out of this battery though.

ok computer
It is a very good computer, very fast next to my old HP and everything is as clear as a bell. I would give it higher marks if you got rid of Microsoft and Macfee every move they pop up and delay what ever you are doing.

4/5 stars
So far this has been a great experience. I love the sleek design and simplicity of the initial setup. Windows 11 has been flawless. The only thing I would change is the placement of the power button and the option to turn off the mouse pad. Overall 4/5 stars.

Just what I needed
I have been self-employed as an editor for many years and have almost always used HP laptops for both personal and work tasks. I have always been pleased with their performance, if not always with the durability of the physical machines. This current HP 17t-cn200 17.3-inch laptop is exactly what I needed to replace my previous 17-inch HP, which had begun to fail in performance and had to be repaired once when the monitor fell off. This new one is lightweight but sturdy, has excellent performance speed, and has a great backlit keyboard with comfortable kay action.

THE BEST
Hey all I’m not computer savvy in the least bit and my last HP lasted 14 years because I’m afraid of “change”. My last HP was held together by bubblegum and duct tape. This new one is lightening fast and it was so easy to setup a computer moron like myself did it with ease. The only thing I wish I had added was the keyboard lights up feature. Other then that it exceeds all my needs LOVE IT !!

Not a good deal after all
I purchased the laptop on 12/26. It shipped on 1/6 which was 2bdays earlier than estimated (no problem with that). Delivery date was estimated for 1/13. It was not delivered until 1/23. The listing that I purchased from said that the keyboard was supposed to be backlit - NOT TRUE. Then found out that the internal webcam is not connected. My warranty is still listed as unknown. I will never buy another HP product.

Not Sure About This Computer
I had high expectations for this computer, but it has been disappointing so far. The placement of the start button is awkward and unintuitive. Despite being less than a month old, I already suspect the graphics card is on the verge of failing. The extended warranty is unclear and doesn’t inspire confidence. To make matters worse, the customer service team seems more focused on upselling than providing helpful support. When you’re trying to make an informed decision about a purchase, that’s the last thing you need from them.

Keyboard did not work out of the box Had difficulty communicating with Tech Support & Customer Service - took days & days to get authorization to return. Took hp weeks to refund after they received it back. Hp's TS & CS make hp not worth doing business with!

From iPad to MS Windows 11
I am happy to give the new HP laptop a review. I will first mention I like it, it has numerous features that I like, and I recommended it to a friend by sending a link to my order, and she bought the same laptop. I do want to share some of my ongoing experiences.
I have not been a recent Microsoft Windows user, I have a desktop Mac and an iPad. I am in my mid 80’s, and I am not as sharp as I used to be. I have an Ethernet network using 4 Apple Airport Extremes a NAS (network area storage), and several network switches. I wanted a computer to use in my living room recliner that had more abilities and features than my iPad. I am having difficulty setting up Windows 11.
I fumbled from the start trying to utilize the touch pad to navigate the Windows menus. It improved significantly when I added a wireless mouse. I am very optimistic that I made the right choice buying this computer. I just have to master these Windows menus and I will be home free. Thank you for asking.

HP Laptop 17t-cn300, 17.3"
Pros:
Good quality no-glare screen (the main reason of my choice).
Cons:
No battery saving feature, as a result the battery lifetime is reduced.
Vents only at the bottom: overheat on soft surfaces.
HUGE set of parasitic and spy soft! I spent hours cleaning up only most active of them.

I would not buy another HP
I don't ever want another HP laptop. I would have thought that upon purchase the warranty would be included, but that's not the case - I have had to fight tooth and nail to TRY to get the warranty attached to this brand new device that already is having issues. I still don't have the warranty, and to say "runaround" is an understatement. Support has been completely useless. They seem to not want to help you but pretend that they are. I'm so disgusted with this product that going forward I'll just stick to the other really large manufacturer that starts with a D - what I normally buy. It's not worth the hassle of dealing with HP.

Poor HP Representative Support Service
I received my new HP Laptop and I called tech support to assist in setting it up with the software that I purchase for my laptop. Seven tech support representatives later, bad English language and an additional fee charge, HP Support was unable to help me. This is a example of poor representative support service. The real rating should be zero!

Terrible computer
Nothing saves on this computer except downloads. It is very frustrating!!! I cannot simply receive a document or a picture and save it where I want is while also naming it so I could find it. Some programs keep popping up asking to use them, but they all just want me to sign up for their service. Terrible!!!! All the computing power is not worth anything!

no help to be found from
You have go to be kidding
After 3 weeks windows11 won't let me do anything to change any settings, can't get help without paying for it. Hp says they can't help because it's microsoft. How about backing your product. There's no help to be found on either end. Buy this product and if something goes wrong your stuck unless you have more money. Sick of the pass the buck routine.

Be careful where you purchase your HP
Be very cautious when and where you but this laptop. I've had HP laptops, and other products without issues for years. This time was completely different. I usually purchase my HP products from stores or onlne sites like Amazon. This time I shopped directly with HP online. That was the only difference I can see that may have caused my issue. I had to reorder this laptop 3x as the serial number that came on it wasn't known when I tried to register it. A statement came up with a totally different serial number it picked up from the laptop itself and it said that the serial number on my laptop was for an Asus with a serial number which expired in 2018. HP was supportive and refunded my money but it wasn't worth the hassle.

Default build is not good enough
Just a heads up for anyone wanting to buy this with the default configuration. To make this a modern, competitive laptop, be sure to add the optional 1920x1080 display and the backlit keyboard. These cannot be added afterwards easily, and the default display and keyboard tend to be subpar by today's standards. The RAM and SSD upgrades should also be considered, but at least I can do these updates later. Opening the laptop to do this requires skill since the whole bottom needs to come off to access the PCIe and RAM slots. There are screws hidden under both rubber strips. The Win 11 included is 24H2. Also, there is no ethernet port on this laptop, only WiFi. The Core 5 120U is a faster cpu than the i5 1334U and i7 1335U in the 17t-cn300 model. Intel integrated graphics is good enough for me.
