Rated 5 out of 5 by RIC CONSTRUCT from Amazing printer to replace a 20 year old Laserjet. Thank you for your service Great printer. It replaced a 20 year old HP Laserjet. We were so sad to see the old one go. The old printer served us well. I know this one will be serve us very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jfhtu from Works nice. I am pleased with this printer, and would buy it again. It works well. Had a problem with it initially, but HP sent a repairman and he fixed it on site. Was nice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by 9103 from NOT able to use 5 drawers on this printer We where told this printer could add an extra tray 4 by sales and service then when we got the printer and tried to set it up that in fact was not the case. We ordered this printer because of that reason. Now we are stuck with a printer that we can not return even though we where given the wrong information.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CodyH from Great printer I wish there was more options for letter and tabloid printers. This printer is one of my only options and its a work horse. Its a very sturdy platform, i wish it had wireless and wireless printing like my cheap home printer features though. Would be nice to send a document to it from my phone or tablet. I also wish the paper drawers were a little deeper as it only fits about a half ream. I also wish there was a easy way to get a part for these printers. I have this model sitting in my office with one broken plastic part and i cannot find a replacement to get the printer back in use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Prez from It's a work horse! We have had an HP Laserjet 4050 for over 15 years and it is still working. So when we needed a printer for our new company we chose HP.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Rockabilly386 from Incompatible with Mac OS 10.6.8 After the tech support person recommended this printer as the solution to my particular problem and being assured that this unit was indeed compatible with my older operating system, I also looked the specs up online. Minimum system requirement for this printer is listed as OS 10.6.8 which I have on two computers and so I made the decision to purchase. After attempting to install and after two long phone sessions with tech support, it was determined that my Mac operating system is not compatible and a return was arranged. Although this is likely a fine printer, I am disappointed that it was not my solution.

Rated 1 out of 5 by gpjs from poor printer for graphic or technical work Printer does not print 1:1 (image shrinks in the printing processes). When printing on 11x17 paper the image output prints 1/8" smaller then orginal image. Not a good printer for graphic design or technical work where correct size is important.

I need to print a mailing address (black and white only) on about 2000 9x12 open end catalog envelopes every month. Would this be up for the task? What about the CP5225n? Any other suggestions?

Asked by: c g .
This HP LaserJet Enterprise 700 Printer M712n supports the following media weights: Tray 1: 16 to 53 lb; Tray 2, 3: 16 to 32 lb. Make sure your envelopes fall into these paperweight requirements. This printer is envelope compatible and has a recommended 5,000 to 20,000-page monthly volume. It is also capable of 11" by 17" ledger printing so the size of the envelope will not be an issue.
