Rated 1 out of 5 by Despairing from Big Mistake I cannot express the extent of my disappointment in HP and the Pavilion Notebook. Based on my experience with a brand new HP laptop, I would never recommend HP or their products. There is absolutely no support whatsoever. I expected HP to provide top notch assistance and that any initial set up issues would be dealt with and corrected. But sadly, nothing could be further than the truth. I am just stunned at the treatment I have received to date and will not be purchasing any HP products in the future.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Would not buy again! While I enjoy the touch screen as an option, the quality and technical support are poor. The Blue tooth has failed three times in the first month that I have had the unit. Customer Support shows that I have no warranty even though the unit is a month old. Hours on the phone to try to get warranty updated. No success yet! Unable to look up information for my unit as the HP system says that my Serial number and Product number are not correct even they are confirmed on the back of the unit and on the phone with agent. Unresolved!

Rated 5 out of 5 by agawrons from HP Pavilion 16" Laptop The HP Pavilion Laptop 16t-af000, 16", is a super laptop; small, but big enough to read; fast, great speed for downloading and uploading; Windows 11, great software pack to keep everything organized and quick search and retrieval; competitively priced. Everything I wanted in my new laptop to replace my old 17" laptop.

Rated 2 out of 5 by DT13 from A bit disappointing So, was hoping this would be a good laptop, but it’s actually not that great. You cannot do much of anything with this thing. Can’t even get screensaver to run on it. I had to purchase something to get basic photos/videos to show up in media player. My advice is unfortunately to spend a little more to upgrade graphics, etc. This may be going back soon because there were other issues as well which I have not been contacted back about.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Padrik from HP purchase was (is) terrible. HP screwed up my order and won’t fix it. I was away, so I had the laptop shipped to my sister. The website didn’t accept my different shipping and billing addresses, so I called HP. The rep seemed to understand and placed my order and said he would fix things. He didn’t. I got two laptops. He also gave me $50 off. I didn’t get that either. I returned the unopened identical laptop thinking HP would want the unopened one. I had already started using the other one. I still don’t have a refund a month after handing it to fedex and HP said the $50 off went with the (identical) one that I returned. HP is terrible. I would not recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kc9kc9b from Great laptop This is a great laptop with the newest Core 5 processor. The number of cores and threads in the processor could be misleading. This one just has 2 performance cores which is what really matters. Do the research. The one thing that I regret was finding out the RAM is soldered and is not expandable. This wasn't clear in the specs on the HP sales pages but I did find it after digging deeper. The screen is fine but not a huge improvement from older comparable HP laptops. The one thing that these new models have that is two fantastic multipurpose high speed USB-C ports where you can power the laptop, connect screens or hubs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike in New York from A laptop well suited for aging adults As I am getting older and my eye sight is diminishing and my coordination and mobility isn’t what it used to be, this new computer is good for me. The text on the screen is larger than my 17” screen Omen laptop and the buttons are bigger with more space around them. I see this as a big plus. Also, having a 512 Gig SSD hard drive is a big important over my old laptop with a 128 Gig SSD hard drive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by The Shoe from Ever since I purchased my HP 700 tower ten years ago I have become a Hewlett Packard fan As with the HP Envy desktop I purchased around the same time, I was happy I could 'customize' my order. I was able to chat with a support rep who answers all my questions. This HP Pavilion laptop is sleek and has good performance. This purchase was due in part to Window 10 going out of support soon and I needed to replace my Dell Inspiron. I think I made a good choice for my needs. This laptop has the required memory plus the anti-glare IPS touch screen & backlite keyboard. I wouldn't call the overall performance speedy but neither is it sluggish. I would rate the boot speed from the 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD as excellent. The absent of any internal disk player nicely reduces the overall weight which I've compensated for by using an external USB Blu-ray player. The only negative thing that stopped me from giving this 5 stars is the fact the the AC power connector takes up a USB-C port and it has me worried that if I inadvertently brush this connection against something solid it might break the port. In a mobile environment this is worrisome to me. I'm just a fan of the round AC connectors which have some semblance of sturdy. I'm not a gamer so I can't editorialize in that area but I knew when this was purchased it would come with Intel Integrated video which drives the WUXGA screen and is fine for my mobile needs. Overall I'm quite pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to others, assuming the unit checks all your boxes !

Rated 1 out of 5 by superWW from Faced network issue within 2 months I got this laptop at the end of Nov 2024, and in less than 40 days I cannot connect to internet. The wifi icon disappeared. I contacted 3 hp tech agents but none of the methods worked. I contacted the customer service, instead of fixing the issue, they recommend me to buy a new laptop. Also no warranty service. Won't purchase anything from hp again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by PunkyA from I wish screen was better. Got good deal on computer but the screen brightness is problematic. My old computer screen on last two laptops was way better than this as screen is dark and sometimes goes even darker and I've done the suggested steps to remedy. It is workable at full brightness but there is very little adjustment . The first adjustment down is like in dark mode for example.

Rated 4 out of 5 by KH602 from Laptop seems very good except that it wouldn't connect to my printer. This HP Pavilion is definitely better than my prior HP. The keyboard and touchpad are much more responsive, and in my opinion Windows 11 is an improvement over my prior laptop's Windows 10. Setup was a downside; I could not get it to connect to my HP printer because it was an older device that HP no longer supported.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Greg Michigan from Laptop fine, product registration and customer service is shabby Laptop works fine, but product registration continues to be screwed up despite three efforts with sales and customer service to correct it. Serial number shows as correct -- but product listing is wrong -- AND the support dashboard shows my warranty is expired, even though the computer is less than two months old. My first experience with HP and it is less than impressive.

Rated 2 out of 5 by OHenry from Scrolling difficulty I bought the 16 in Pavilion version of HP computer. I am very displeased with it. When I try to scroll down with the arrow it will stick and not move and at times it will jump off track. It will resize the page often, I can't find how to make it normal again. I have to clear it out and go back and start over again. It is a good computer other wise. This is distracting.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Isam from Mid overall I'm sorry to say Lightweight, quiet fan, good storage but not much else. 1. HP has managed to downgrade this line's keyboard so badly - I bought a Pavilion in 2019 that had the best keyboard, not this new clunky mess that makes typing really quite difficult. They also had the idea to put the power button next to a delete button? Yeah, nothing could go wrong there. 2. The bloatware from HP has gotten worse. HP forced the laptop to install some HP Omni overlay for gaming (I'm not a gamer - dont force me to install gaming things) which nearly broke my laptop 3 days after purchasing because the update was horribly bugging. Not just a me problem as this is mentioned on HP forums as well. 3. Doesn't really standout in any way. But it feels more like a budget laptop than a mid tier laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JES. from My new laptop Overall I like the computer. It is much lighter then my previous HP laptop. I like the following features large screen, backlite keyboard, touch screen. I am not a big fan of Windows 11 but with mods I am getting use to it. I regret not getting the larger hard drive. My main dislike is the difficulty to modify the hardware or replace the battery when needed in the future. These were vey easy in my previous HP laptop.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Legacy11 from Maybe I should have gone with Dell laptops Two areas that I am not happy about regarding the laptop: • The touchpad is extremely sensitive. I’ve tried adjusting it to the different sensitivity levels in “touchpad setting” but no mater which level I select, and I’ve tried them all, can’t get the sensitivity level that is acceptable to me. I continuously open multiple copies of something when I click the lower left conner of the touchpad or open other apps when moving my hands over the touchpad. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with HP support but they were no help in solving the issue I am having with the touchpad. • HP support really is "non-support". Have spent over 5 hrs on various calls trying to get the HP web site tools to accurately reflect the laptops I have. All I get are excuses and no action. Very simply the information listed in my HP Support Assistant and in HP Support.com is incorrect and after multiple calls and chats HP still hasn't corrected the issue. The excuse HP gives me is that since I customized the laptops I recently purchased the incorrect information can't be fixed. Do you really expect me to accept such a lame excuse? HP continues to close the repair cases that were established without doing any to address my issues.
