Great screen, perfect for at home general use
Really liking it so far. I have the OLED option and the screen is bright and volume is great. I bought this for general purpose use (surfing internet, occasional netflix watching) and it's perfect. Everything seems to be working in excellent order. I actually had purchased a Dell Inspiron before this and hated it so much. This is way better.

It's okay.
It's got decent speed. The chassis is a bit light feeling and plastic. The battery life is horrible. But the design is good, and the screen is great.

This HP Laptop is perfect. My husband's laptop was getting old and he likes my HP laptop so he want and HP Laptop as well. He has been using it constantly and said he loves it. It's the only brand we will probably buy from now on.

Not ready to rate it yet.......
This is my third 14 inch Pavilion laptop. The one I'm replacing is 7 years old and still working great. I'm not ready to rate this new one as I just received it a few days ago. I've had problems setting it up due to OneDrive. This laptop is very linked into OneDrive which I don't want, so it's taken some time to get everything separated from OneDrive. I'm also not a fan of Windows 11, but it is time for me to get over that. This new Pavilion laptop seems slow at times and often lags and takes awhile to load, etc., despite being brand new and only under light use such as email and reading news. The touchpad isn't as nice as on my older laptop, but hopefully I will get used to it. I had to disable the 3 and 4 finger gestures. The curser is sometimes difficult to control and place. I got this Pavilion for a good price and with good specs - if you can get it for a good price, it's a decent, functional laptop. I will update this review at a later date after I've used the laptop for a bit. I hope it is as durable as my first two Pavilions.

Since HP asked for a review today...
My laptop arrived in an unusable state due to a defective touchpad. After attempting to fix it via System Recovery, I'm now in the process of shipping it back for hardware repair. At the moment my status is very disappointed, with the possibility of finishing at four stars if I get it returned soon in good working order.

Dell is Better
I cancelled the order. Your customer fulfillment center could not correct a shipping issue and agents gave conflicting and incorrect guidance. Order placed Sept. 20 and by November 6 the order was still not received. Cancelled order and ordered 2 computers from Dell that were delivered the same week.

Gorgeous screen, great keyboard, big trackpad, plenty ports, compact footprint, lightweight, hard to beat at its pricepoint. Some downsides: average battery life, hinge only opens up to 125º angle aprox.

Great machine, very happy with it. I wish the touchpad was a little smaller, as I rarely use it. I would prefer a Lenovo-like eraser button. I also hate the Microsoft intrusion upon initial post-purchase bootup, but I can't blame HP for that.

Don’t buy, bad quality + hard to return
HP makes it incredibly difficult to return. The battery life of a brand new computer is 1hr. 1/3 of the storage space is already used by bloatware. Not all of said bloatware can be deleted. Computers takes forever to turn on and runs VERY slowly.

The Pavilion arrived quickly, and after the standard software updates from Microsoft, all of our apps from the old machine were automatically migrated smoothly. The machine runs so much faster than the old machine, the 16 GB of RAM makes a huge difference when you have a bajillion tabs open on a browser, along with Word and Excel! The battery life is excellent, so my wife works in a comfortable chair rather than hunched over a desk. It's thin and light enough that carrying it around is trivial.

Great laptop for college engineering student

product and custom are awful
this product has some qulity control problem. when i get the first one, it even hasn't correctly sealed. so i can see the inside of the product. i exchanged it and it has been more than 10 days. still don't receive the new product. both their product and custom service is awful.

Poor build quality, touchpad sticky, customer support and return policy unclear
The build quality is poor and the touchpad didn't work when it got here -- it sticks and doesn't click. I'm not sure how to return it at HP, but based on the website it looked like I needed to talk with their tech agents. I think I was wrong, and I'll be contacting the HP shopping department to see if there's a better fix. Overall, I would have rather purchased from a retailer who would have managed this for me.

Is the best laptop for the price. I’ll say its better than a macbook. Its lightweight, portable, it has the best screen display out of all laptops. The best if not trying to do heavy gaming. I been playing valorant on it it goes 70fps its perfect.

Fantastic build quality for premium budget laptop
This is a great laptop. Quality look and build. The OLED screen is stunning. The keyboard has a good feel and I really like that it's backlit. It's thin and lightweight. The webcam looks great with Zoom meetings. The sound is fine for a small device. The huge trackpad is a really fantastic.
I was able to remove the bottom without a lot of hassles to upgrade the 256GB SSD to a 1TB.
Cons:
I do have a slight problem opening the lid, I wish indent was cutout a bit more to get a better grab.
Memory is soldered in.
The SSD for this class of machine should have been a minimum of 512GB.

Its a good value but not a premium machine. The numbers are good, top of the line processor, 16g ram, etc. the screen is 3k oled, but its not as good as other oleds i've seen. All in all, you will be hard pressed to find anything better for under $1k, except maybe on fire sale

Are there any plans for a version with more than a 256GB SSD? That seems so limiting, as does the RAM limit of 16GB. The other specs seem top notch, I hope HP overs more variations of this model.
