Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from This could have been handled by HP in much better fashion i ordered an HP Pavilion Plus Laptop 16t-ab100, 16" via online store on 10 December 2024. The original shipment date quoted was 19 December 2024. The item was delivered via China and FedEx on 21 December 2024. I called HP on 23 December 2024 to advise the computer was delivered without the power cable (wall to power/ voltage/ frequency adapter) included. After several hours I was advised the power cable would be sent by HP Grapevine, Texas repair center/ store to arrive by 24-25 December 2024. On 24 December 2024, I was notified by HP Customer Support the power cord would be delayed to 1 February 2025. I received several email notifications confirming the date for the power cable availability of 1 February 2025 through 31 December 2024. On 4 January 2025, I received a new notification the power cable would be delayed until 12 MARCH 2025. After this notification, I attempted many telephone calls to HP Customer Support that totaled over 24 hours in total time. On 14 January 2024, HP Customer Support opened a ticket to have me purchase the power cord and the reimbursed me the cost of the cord and an additional small amount for aggravation. I also received other emails notifying the original power cord was still delayed to 12 March 2025. On 16 January I received a shipping notice for the purchased (and reimbursed) power cord, and I received the power cord on that date. HOWEVER, the power cord received was not the proper specification and is unusable. The correct specification for the power cord is: 6ft (1.8m) Laptop Power Cord, NEMA 5-15P to C5 (Clover Leaf), 10A 125V, 18AWG, Laptop Replacement Cord, Printer Power Cable, Laptop Charger Cord, Laptop Power Brick Cord - UL Listed. The received power cord specification is: StarTech.com 6ft (1.8m) Computer Power Cord, NEMA 5-15P to C13, 10A 125V, 18AWG, Black Replacement AC Power Cord, Printer Power Cord, PC Power Supply Cable, Monitor Power Cable - UL Listed. After again calling Customer Support I received notification the power cable IS NOT available and cannot be sent via HP other than as the 12 March 2025 delivery Customer Support order. On 19 January 2025 it was confirmed the power cord would be sent according to the HP Customer Support order, however this notification confirmed I can purchase an appropriate power cable direct from a 3rd party supplier (Star Tech, Newark, or others of correct specification) and that HP WOULD NOT consider this a violation of warranty should I choose. I continued to received email notifications from HP Customer Support advising the power cable would be available on 12 March 2025. Then on 28 January 2025 I received email notification the power cord would again be delayed further until 21 March 2025. This power cord in an integral part of the power adapter. The power cable is a required component to charge the purchased computer. The power cord is a component to several power adapters sold and delivered on many different computers, monitors, and printers and should be readily available from HP repair. manufacturing, and support centers. As it is I will have ordered a computer, paid for that computer, and am awaiting the delivery of an approximate US $10.00 to $12.00 item. I have chosen to purchase an appropriate power cord through a 3rd party as has been confirmed acceptable by HP at my own cost. At this time I am unable to review the computer as I am awaiting the power cord. I have been an exclusive customer of HP for laptops and printers since 1996. This is the first experience that has been of such difficulty and poor performance on the part of HP. In fairness, most, but not all, of the Customer Support personnel I have spoken to have been somewhat helpful. That said, I am not really satisfied with this purchase at this time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Molly2024 from So-so The form factor feels fine. I like the bright keyboard and backlight keys. The power cord is to rigid. I like to hold the HP in my lap plugged in. I need to find a flexible power cord. I have tried to make the screen appearance of this W11 machine look like my W10. I struggle with the W11 setup. Far more complex than W10. Why did they have to change. The most disturbing is resolution and or font size. Weather it's the hardware or OS, I don't know. Enlarge the font in one application and it's to large to read in another. The message box is squint size to small and I CANNOT FIX IT. I don't know if there is a conflict between the higher resolution LT and the OS. I had to disconnect my iphone from phone link to get the microphone to work on the laptop. Thay was one feature in W11 I was looking forward to using.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Brent. from Nice for the price Nice laptop, nice processor. Good for it's price. Only one SSD port, keyboard struggles to handle multiple inputs simultaneously (nice in some games). I use it to run simulations and it does well enough. The base versions graphics card is sub tier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by kazar from Good deal for the price All in all a serviceable laptop. Speedy and nothing has crashed yet. Also very durable, as I learned when my dog ran through the power cord and the laptop crashed from the table onto a hard tile floor with no damage. Knocked a star off for these reasons: Power key is buried amongst the F keys and is very hard to find in a dim or dark room; they went too far with making the screen anti-reflective resulting in a dulled appearance; should have a magnetic power cord (laptop would not have flown off the table!) not a plug-in cord

Rated 1 out of 5 by Ron McB from HP Lost Credibility I purchased this laptop and it worked great for 2 days then stopped working. HP sent a shipping label to return it and stated a replacement would be sent within 3 days - it wasn't. Upon calling HP customer service, they stated the standard replacement is 5 - 10 days so I waited - 10 days passed so I called again. I was promised a $40 credit for the hassle but that never showed up. They then told me the standard replacement time was 10 - 15 days. When that time passed, I called again. A manager then forced the transaction complete so a replacement could be sent. HP has lost all credibility with me. To top that off, then FedEx delivered the replacement to the wrong address so God only knows where the laptop is now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Not a computer guy. from Good buy for the money. Fast, great screen. Basically just use it for excel, Internet - the basic stuff. But I usually have 20 tabs open at the same time and run multiple apps. Haven’t run into any issues. Case is well made, the ACER is cheaper, but made of crap plastic. This is a good buy on sale - I paid around 800.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LMJK406 from It gets the job done... I've had this computer for over a month. It is a decent work laptop with a large screen. I am unimpressed with the keyboard and mouse pad, both are noisier than I'm used to and the keys feel cheap. Also, HP annoyingly skimped out on the lack of light indicator on the NUM LOCK... I mean, come on, this should be universal by now. I've also had issues with the screen display changing hues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dallashock2 from Great Laptop Computer I purchased this as a replacement for a 12 year old HP laptop computer that was still going strong, but was starting to slow down. This is a great laptop computer. I have always been impressed by the HP product lines. The computer boots up very fast. Functionality is excellent and the dual level backlit keyboard is simple to adjust. I have had no issues with it and the Windows 11 functionality works great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by no happy with hp from new laptop set up this laptop comes with VERY brief set up instructions. nothing beyond start menu find settings and search. I have no idea how to transfer all data and documents from my old computer to the new. It came with 30 free days of Microsoft office 365, but in order to use it you have pre prepay for the office 365 at least 1-year plan. there is supposed to be a 30 Mcaffee, I have no idea if this is in fact activated. The multilingual instructions do not give any information beyond plugging it it and hitting start.... the rest is left up to the new owner. there is not even a help phone number, it is all via the website, after you set up you NEW HP account for your NEW device. lots of tracking here but very little personal help. I had office on my prior laptop, I have no idea how to transfer that to this one, or my Mcaffee. very disappointed at the lack of assistance here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WrightB from Super HP I purchase a 9020 series from HP 4 months ago. I purchased a HP laptop 3 weeks ago. They both work great, fast, wonderful features, etc. My problem is that I couldn’t figure out how to connect the printer/scan/fax. An HP representative helped me with that situation via a phone. HP has the best support. He was patient and very knowledgeable. Now, I can scan/print/fax on my HP and MAC computers. I am quite happy with my HP equipment and customer support.

Rated 5 out of 5 by VOC Pillai from Great bang for buck -- well-built zippy laptop I got this at a sale for around $770 in Dec 2023 on the HP USA website. Purchased it online for myself along with another laptop for my partner. After using a Dell Latitude for nearly a decade and getting used to a hot laptop, this one is a breeze to use. I upgraded the OEM Windows 11 Home to Pro, installed Office 21 Pro and have been browsing the web with many tabs open. So far it stays cool, performs quite well and I've not noticed any lag in speed so far. The display is excellent and I can feel how different it is from many other laptops because I don't feel as tired as I might have on other machines. Mine has Intel's 13th generation Core i7-H processor. RAM is DDR5 and pretty quick although it isn't upgradeable because it is soldered on. But at this price point I don't mind a few minor niggles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TeresaW from Great deal I love my new laptop that replaced a 7-year-old 17"HP Envy clunker. Handling file transfer, printer setup, personalization settings was faster than I expected. I like getting Office 365 for a year since I hadn't decided which product to go with. I like the lighter weight and longer battery life. I chose this laptop based on the sale price and numeric keypad which is a must for me. I'm happy.
