When it arrived power cord was not working, called them and was told a replacement would arrive in 3-3 days. Could not wait , purchased locally . 2 days later screen went black , would not start , and I returned the laptop for refund . 2 weeks later replacement power cord arrived!!!

So far not impressed!!!!!!!
So far I’m not impressed. The memory and internal storage are both 4 times bigger than my previous laptop, yet I see very little difference in performance!!! I am also experiencing screen flashing that I can’t explain or understand!!!!!!! It happens too fast that I can’t determine if it’s a glitch or trying to give me a message. And one more issue is the keyboard lighting goes out after about 15 seconds of no activity. I’ve checked for a setting for this but unable to find it up to this point in time!!!!! (very annoying!!!!!) I am almost to the point of dreading purchasing!!!!!!!!! Not a happy camper so far!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a steal
I absolutely love this computer! I needed a new laptop since I'm going back to school for another two to three years. My old computer still worked great, but was about eight years old and wouldn't support Windows 11. I was originally thinking about getting a Macbook. Then I saw this computer and it was a steal, especially with the HP Student Discount. It does everything I could ever ask it to do, and more. If you can get this computer for a decent price, I would highly recommend it.

I'm looking to purchase a laptop for my son who's going to college for engineering. I'm just curios if there will be limitations with the graphics card for certain CAD packages or applications commonly used in engineering schools.
As each software package for engineering has different system requirements, this will be a difficult question to answer. However, this is a customizable PC. To "future-proof" the PC, it is recommended to max out the GPU.

is this laptop have a graphics card capable of running 3d modeling software?
This specific Power G10 can come with an A2000 with 8GB of dedicated RAM that can handle 3D modeling software. The types of settings you would be able to run it on and the speed for rendering the models you are making would vary. You can go to the publisher's website and look up the system requirements for the software you want to use and make sure that the setup you are looking at meets the requirements for the settings you would like to run that software on. Updates can change those requirements which can impact the settings you use or if you can run the software at all.
