Rated 4 out of 5 by Sam72173 from It's good It's a good computer. Does get very hot as does the charging block when playing any game. Doesn't get hot with anything else. Battery doesn't last long I always need to be near an outlet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Neal S from Keep looking Wow - the company is no longer the go-to. 1st - I “”customized” my Victus by adding the larger battery. That’s it. Took 21 days to get built overseas and shipped. 2nd - had issues immediately. After bouncing around customer service - finally got to the Victus support team which was very good. Had to reinstall Windows after spending a day downloading and installing my software and data. Ok - stuff happens. Reinstall did not correct the problem. Then had to re-image the machine. That requires a 36G flash drive which I had to go buy (I don’t have any that big). That re-image was 1/2 a day, then the software/ data and its 1 1/2 days later and it still didn’t solve. Now I have to send back and I didn’t save the box… because it’s 2 weeks after receipt. So I could wait another 21 days for the same “custom” unit or pay another $200 for one they have built - which I took. I shipped the laptop back 5 days ago. No advice of any kind on receipt of the old unit or the shipping of the new. All told - 50 days since I bought a new laptop and NOTHING to show for it. Can you go 2 months without a computer? Writing this on my phone. So keep looking and find a more reliable and responsive brand

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Used this laptop for AutoCAD, Works Great! I needed a high performance laptop with a screen larger than 15.4", a 10-key number pad, a discrete GPU with at least 4GB of RAM or more, at least a 1TB NVMe SSD, and HDMI-out all for less than $2,000. I'm using it primarily for AutoCAD and a host of other applications. It works great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by rmor from Great for the Money So far is well worth the money. It is a plastic build, so feels a bit flimsy, but shout be fine if treated properly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by DR Create from Great but where are the keys? I originally expected to get another Omen but HP dropped the 10-key on it so I opted for the Victus. I'm happy with the smaller package and same good support apps and build quality and performance. It does feel just slightly more delicate than my 5-yr old Omen 17 -- the keys are just a bit lighter to the touch or maybe a little less travel. It is still lacking dedicated Home, End, PgUp, and PgDn keys like the Omen which is annoying for non-game work, and, especially with this, is it so hard to add a Numlock indicator light? I suppose minor gripes from someone who uses a gaming laptop for more than gaming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jerad2142 from Great Laptop Easy to replace SSD's/RAM on, only complaints I have is the bios are a bit old school and the version I ordered only had one M2 slot, not that its a big deal, 4GB+ M2's exist nowadays after all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nadroj from Great laptop Great computer. Especially since they refunded me the discount difference! One thing to note is that the screen refresh rate is 60htz (so had some screen tearing). If you are using an external monitor you should be fine. Use this laptop for school and the occasional gaming.

Rated 1 out of 5 by SamCam from The worst experience I have had so for.... The worst experience I have had so far purchasing a HP laptop. This is my 3rd HP laptop in 17 years and this was the worst experience. The laptop took a month+ to receive, the extra power supply that showed as an accessory during the purchase was not the correct power supply for the laptop, the laptop came with a 230w power supply and the extra power supply was only 65w. When trying to return the power supply the process is not easy. No one leaves a call back number to call to get the process started. This will be the last HP laptop I purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by J. Philippi from Would recommend with some advice Was a bit worried about the screen wobble I heard about and the whole thing being plastic but coming from a 2019 HP Omen with a 1660 Ti and a i7-9750H to this was amazing it runs great and feels smooth the only thing I would recommend is getting the best screen as seeing the lower cost ones in store leaves a lot to be desired but I am happy with my purchase and will probably get another one for my significant other
