Hardware Recycling Process
How our Hardware Recycling Process works
1. Collection
Equipment is collected and transported to HP approved and audited recycling facilities.
2. Sorting
Equipment is sorted, and hazardous components and materials are removed.
3. Shredding
Sorted material is dismantled or shredded into tiny pieces.
4. Separation
Materials are sorted into clean material streams to sell on the global materials market.
What material is accepted
All HP branded IT equipment (*) (PC, Monitors, Printers), components and assemblies.
*Non-HP branded equipment can be collected for recycle only if it’s being replaced by HP branded equipment as a result of an HP Sales executed deal. Customer may also provide proof of purchase.
Non-IT equipment (like home appliances). Non-electronic equipment (bags, cases). Stand-alone batteries.
