The seven print quality issues diagnosed using the test pages are classified into three categories.
These three categories are as follows: Horizontal lines, streaks, or bands; Vertical lines, streaks, or bands; and Other issues. The first two of these categories are defined by the orientation of the paper as it exits the printer. Consequently, it is important to keep track of how the paper was oriented as it exited the printer while viewing your issue.
- Horizontal lines, streaks, or bands include unwanted line(s), streak(s), or band(s) oriented horizontally from left to right across the paper as it exits the printer.
- Vertical lines, streaks, or bands include unwanted line(s), streak(s), or band(s) oriented vertically from top to bottom on the paper as it exits the printer.
- Other issues include missing colors and tinted background.
