Proactive alerts |
|
Learn about problems before they become problems. Proactive alerts can be sent at various thresholds in order to receive
a warning that a supply, such as a toner cartridge, is running low. While the default is 10%, thresholds can be set at
virtually any level. This is valuable for individuals who order supplies and require advanced warnings of low supplies.
Supplies alerts include tray/media level, fuser, drum, toner and other device supplies. HP Web Jetadmin let's you choose
any of four proactive alerts, specifying thresholds and designating optional e-mail recipients:
- Supply replaced—fixed at 100%
- Early warning—adjustable from 0% to 99%
- Supply low—adjustable from 0% to 98%
- Supply out—adjustable from 0% to 97%
HP Web Jetadmin uses an adaptive polling technique that increases polling frequency as a supply gets closer to the user
specified threshold. In this way, HP Web Jetadmin can generate supplies alert messages and use less network bandwidth than
is used with traditional polling methods.
Predictive reports |

Easily collect, store and display ongoing usage information for groups of devices and facilitate consolidated online
ordering of supplies with predictive reports. Predictive reports are:
- Fully schedulable
- Archived in Reports section
- Able to be sent to e-mail recipients
- Detailed with supply name, part number, estimated replacement date and more
- Customizable by using the Edit control
- Able to link to HP SureSupply

Supplies information tab
This feature quickly displays all supplies details for any device list selection. This includes a quick view of levels,
part numbers and other supply details. You can group this information by device, urgency or part number.
Supplies groups
The feature allows you to consolidate supplies alerts and reports for custom groups of devices. For example, an
individual with responsibility over supplies for a set of devices in one part of the corporation can group the devices
in supply group "A." Another person with responsibility for managing supplies in a different part of the corporation,
perhaps in another city, can create supply group "B." These two individuals can create settings and manage supplies
separately in a way that fits their individual needs.
Consolidated supplies ordering
Available in both reports and alerts within the supplies section, HP Web Jetadmin 10.0 provides one-click access to the
HP SureSupply web page for accurate reordering on a just-in-time basis. (HP Sure Supply varies by country; visit
