Cautiously Optimistic
I originally had an m477fdw, and it worked great, until a few months ago. I called tech support to help me with figuring out what was wrong with it so I could have it repaired. They said because it was over a year old and the warranty was done, they couldn't help troubleshoot the issue and I'd need to buy a new printer.
So, I ended up buying the bullet and spending another $400 for another printer. So far, I've had it for two weeks. It works fine. I went ahead and paid another nearly $500 extended warranty to make sure that if this printer starts messing up like the other one did, I wouldn't need to go and buy another new printer.
So, uh, yeah, thanks a lot for your help, HP... *eyeroll*
