System setup keeps asking for a CD to complete scanner setup, which didn't come with the printer. AI support chat is useless due to limited troubleshooting question/answer function. Only thing this printer does is print. All other functionalities are useless because they don't work no matter how many times the app is uninstalled and reinstalled. Also it prints at snail speed. Starting to regret buying this printer.

No need to constantly buy ink cartridges. Print quality is amazing; I’ve printed multiple photos already and they are definitely sharp and clear enough to use as art in my apartment. The unit is light and compact. It was very difficult to get it to connect wirelessly to my WiFi. I had to spend a lot of time over 3 days to get it to find the WiFi signal. I reset everything multiple times and finally on day 3 it found it. The printer is slow and very noisy. Since it’s only me in the office, I can handle it but I really expected this high quality printer to be quieter. Overall I’m happy with the purchase; just wish a couple of things were better about it

The Smart Tank 5103 was the perfect addition to my home office, I can print documents from my phone and any device at home, with the same quality as any other printer, even better. The setup was very fast and easy and the use is even more. I recommend this printer to anyone who want to save money in ink cartridges.

So far it seems so much more cost effective to use the bottles and tanks rather than a cartridge. Everything else with this printer works flawlessly. Zero issues with up and it’s a breeze to use from my phone to print photos or documents. I would definitely recommend this printer.

    Once the printer is out of ink am I able to sign up for an instant ink subscription or no?

    Thank you for your question! No, the HP Smart Tank 5000 All-in-One Printer does not use ink cartridges and is not eligible for Instant Ink as a result of this. However, the HP Smart Tank 5000 All-in-One Printer uses refillable ink tanks which gives the lowest cost per page of most any HP Printer. A typical HP black ink bottle has enough ink for up to 6,000 pages while the color ink bottles contain ink for up to 8,000 pages.

    can you print 2 sided? duplex?

    Thank you for your interest in the HP Smart Tank 5000. That unit does not have auto-duplex and would require you to manually do it. The HP Smart Tank 6001 model does have the auto-duplex feature for printing double sided.

    If I am away from home, can I still print from my iPhone remotely? And if so, is there an app? Does this printer support 5.0Ghz wifi?

    You can print with an iPhone outside of the network for this unit using the HP Smart Advance, which is a free upgrade to the free HP Smart app with this unit. It does not support 5.0GHz Wi-Fi, so you will want to make sure your router supports a 2.4GHz signal.
