Worked great when I first got it. Moved it from one side of the desk to the other, and it started having issues. replaced all the print cartridges. Went through all the trouble shooting items. Contacted support. Was told I should have "packed" the printer before moving it. I work from home, and need a reliable printer that can be moved around. Gave this one away, bought another brand.

I think HP has cut corners on this model. I do not like that there is no paper tray in the bottom of the printer. The paper feed is vertical on the backside where dust can accumuate on the paper. Other than that, the printer is ok-you get what you pay for.

bad choice .
The key board that came with this is impossible for me to type on . The set up and configuration of this computer is very complicated and I cannot use it due to this. It , to me, is very complicated piece of machinery to understand , like and use . Thus I am still on my old computer and wondering what to do with this HP I purchased .

Insufficient and difficult to understand initial set up instructions. Especially bad are the diagrams for opening ink bottles and installing printheads. I wasted a lot of time trying to do these 2 steps to the extent I felt I wanted to return the printer and cancel the purchase.

Economical. fast and superb quality
prints fast and the copies are crisp not fuzzy, Ink is reasonably priced and the printer holds enough ink to print thousands of pages. The price I paid was very reasonable. I had been using a HP desk jet printer since 2006 but had to replace that printer because the ink cartridges are no longer being manufactured. If the HP Smart Tank Plus 651 lasts half as many years I will be happy.

Working now, but lots of trouble to get here.
As with my previous HP printer, there were problems with drivers requiring a lengthy customer service call. None of this was covered in days of searching the help topics online. It’s working now but I’m disappointed. Also, this printer will only print on one side of the paper. Maybe HP has just given up double sided printing - because my last HP printer did a horrible job of that.
On the positive side, I really like the ink tank rather than the cartridges for ecological reasons as well as convenience - this is a nice improvement.
All said, the printer is working fine now but after two troublesome HP printers in a row, I’ll be looking at other brands the next time I need a new printer. I have been a loyal HP printer customer for decades both at home and in my business but unfortunately they just aren’t the same quality anymore.

Can you fax using an iPhone or do I need a land line?

I need a printer that does NOT scale the image when printing. I print sewing patterns. If scaling resizes the image, pattern pieces will be inaccurate. They need to print in the actual size, unaltered. Does HP Smart Tank 651 auto-scale images or not?

To disable Autoscale, or automatic scaling of the page size, on your HP Smart Tank Plus 651 Wireless All-in-One printer, you'll need to access the printer's advanced settings through the control panel or via the HP Smart app. Specifically, you'll want to adjust the "Page Scaling" or "Fit to Page" settings.

Hello. Thanks for your question. This HP Smart Tank Plus 651 Wireless All-in-One printer does not have a landline fax function. You can use the Mobile Fax option in the HP Smart app to send faxes.

problems with print spooler service which won't work. printer won't operate and continue getting message about spooler service not working. restarting the machine doesn't correct the problem.

Scanner does not pull papers when scanning in but thinks it scanned them
