Rated 4 out of 5 by OMthe from Hope your eyesight is good! Keyboard is heavy, charges quickly and has some great features, including backlit keys and all kinds of bells and whistles. Unfortunately the lettering is all white on light silver and is VERY hard to read when you are typing in a room with the lights on. In dim conditions is much better, but all of the text and symbols are just so small that it’s very hard to read them even the. (The function key row at the top is the worst, but it’s obvious the designers went for looks instead of basic functionality. I may return it and use the non-backlit one that came with the machine just to save me the headache of squinting all the time. Aside from that, everything works fine and has a lot of versatility. I’m just not sure that the benefits would outweigh the migraine I will get trying to figure out what weird feature is linked to the special keys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cescalante from HP 970 Backlite wireless keyboard I had ordered the 34 inch all-in-one desktop, it unfortunately came with a keyboard with no backlite keys. So, using points I accumulated with HP, I purchased this keyboard, and am very happy with its performance so far. I just wish it had been standard with my large all-in-one purchase.

The backlight does not stay on. How can I change the settings to make it stay on? Sometimes it stays on. Sometimes it does not. and even when I press the backlight button, it only stays on temporarily.

Asked by: AArmin
To adjust the sleep setting on your backlit keyboard select Control Panel > Hardware and Sound> Windows Mobility Center. In the Windows Mobility Center, look for the Keyboard brightness (or Keyboard backlighting) setting, select its corresponding slider, and pull that slider over to the right. The sleep setting is to maximize the battery life of your keyboard. Changing this setting will greatly impact your battery life.

what wireless mouse do you recommend to pair with this keyboard

Asked by: Mike Geeeee
Hello Mike, and thank you for your question! That would depend greatly on your needs and preferences when it comes to a mouse. The HP 710 Rechargeable Silent Mouse is a popular option however and can be found here: https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/hp-710-rechargeable-silent-mouse The HP 710 Rechargeable Silent Mouse has a long battery life, is compatible with most devices, is for both left-handed and right-handed people, and has programmable buttons as well.
