For aspiring entrepreneurs of all ages, business and IT skills are essential to building successful — and sustainable — companies. But access to training can make getting started a challenge.
HP Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs (HP LIFE) is a global program for training students, aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners to use the power of IT to establish and grow their business.
Since 2007, HP LIFE has helped establish or expand more than 19,700 businesses, helped create 43,000 jobs and provide 1.2 million worldwide with training, access to technology and online activities. It has done this with a combination of face-to-face training and online tools that are available to entrepreneurs, regardless of their backgrounds, locations or circumstances.
This June, HP LIFE e-Learning was launched. It's a free online training program that any existing or aspiring business person can access from anywhere, and at anytime. Entreprenuers use it to enhance or refresh IT and business skills, find tips, and share challenges with the HP LIFE community.
"I now have the tools I need to become more successful in running my original business," said Nasim Hashemi, founder of Freshness Farms. "As every day goes by, the more I am achieving, the clearer my goals become, it's amazing the empowerment I'm finding within myself."
